'14 OH TE/DE Ethan Wolf (UT Commit 4/10/13)

Unless the kids have been told that once they commit, no more visits. If they have, I would not be shocked to see a spot back open. You can't make the statement and then not back it up.

(I don't know for a fact, they are to shut it down after committing).

You could still be right and the policy could apply to official visits. Pretty tough to keep track of everyone regarding unofficials.

It would be unbelievably hypocritical for this staff to tell our commits to shutdown their recruitments while trying to get other school's commits on campus and trying to flip them. I won't believe that garbage until I hear it directly out of CBJ's mouth.

Everyone needs to calm down... The kid's doing his due diligence. He didn't have a Bama offer when he commited to us. Can't blame the kid....it's too important of a decision to take lightly.

I have no issue with a kid wanting to have fun. I am ok with them taking trips. I just would not take their commitment until they are done "looking around". JMO[/QUOTE

I completely agree.

tOSU's coaches knew that Hurd was going to be on campus to perform in the Nike camp last week. They extended multiple invitations to him to come by early just to "say hi" and "catch up". Did he do it? Hell no! His words were that "he was committed" and had "no reason" to look elsewhere.

we all want to hear guys are "all vol" but step back and put yourself in a players shoes.

No one knows what the future holds. coaches drop kids around NSD all the time, Coaches get fired, schools end up on probation, etc. If a recruit shuts it down and has no other option come signing day, its his own fault if he has no place to land if an ugly situation arises. crazier things have happened in recruiting.

If I wanted to see a pile of shi*, I don't need to travel 1300 miles to do it. JMO

obviously Wolf's view of Bama & yours are yin & yang. His is the only one that matters. It's early, he might as well get all his curiosity out now. Like I said, it's not like it's an OV. No one complains when a recruit that's committed elsewhere visits here. Aint no fun when the rabbit got the gun now is it?

I just like that your autocorrect changed elsewhere to elderberry... Like elderberry has ever been used in regular conversation...ever.

We hate it when a commit looks around on us. Understood we have guys look at us who are committed elsewhere.
What I love is seeing our guys go look at Bama then STAY committed to the vols and butch. It means he can win the big boy battles and it speaks volumes about this staff. We may lose some battles with them but we will never compete with them if we don't fight for the same upper tier talent.

Let me preface this by saying I LOVE Wolf and his game. BUT, I think we would be ok with only one TE in this class.

We will have King, Meredith, Quinn, Bransiel and Helm on our roster in 2014 if we don't land Wolf. Wouldn't be great considering we don't know what we are gonna get from any of them, but we would have ok numbers at least.

If we could use that spot on another hight level OL, DT, LB or DB I wouldn't be distraught.
