'14 OH TE/DE Ethan Wolf (UT Commit 4/10/13)

Let me preface this by saying I LOVE Wolf and his game. BUT, I think we would be ok with only one TE in this class.

We will have King, Meredith, Quinn, Bransiel and Helm on our roster in 2014 if we don't land Wolf. Wouldn't be great considering we don't know what we are gonna get from any of them, but we would have ok numbers at least.

If we could use that spot on another hight level OL, DT, LB or DB I wouldn't be distraught.

Wolf is a need because of his skill set. Not because of his position. The blocking skills are always needed. Plus we might have another Douglas.

we all want to hear guys are "all vol" but step back and put yourself in a players shoes.

No one knows what the future holds. coaches drop kids around NSD all the time, Coaches get fired, schools end up on probation, etc. If a recruit shuts it down and has no other option come signing day, its his own fault if he has no place to land if an ugly situation arises. crazier things have happened in recruiting.

Obviously if the coaches expect the recruits to be 100% committed then the coaches would have to do the same. No way in the world could they cut a kid loose AT ANY POINT if they took his commitment and he did not "look around", had the grades, and stayed out of trouble. I don't think CBJ would cut a kid loose after taking his commitment. If they are going to preach family, integrity, and love, then they have to back that up. JMO

Word on the street is the only reason Wolf stopped in Tuscaloosa was to use the toilet. He had some bad shellfish on his way home from vacation. TIFWIW

obviously Wolf's view of Bama & yours are yin & yang. His is the only one that matters. It's early, he might as well get all his curiosity out now. Like I said, it's not like it's an OV. No one complains when a recruit that's committed elsewhere visits here. Aint no fun when the rabbit got the gun now is it?

If it is something our coaches are pushing (don't commit unless your 100% Vol and ready to shut it down), then that has little to do with how other teams handle their committed players. Every school does things differently.

Too bad for him, the public bathrooms in Alabama are among the worst in the nation.

I agree with your first sentence.

Pretty exciting to me that CBJ and company beat out Saban for another great player. Every kid that visits Bama and commits or stays committed to us strengthens us. Pretty exciting stuff.

Thought yall would enjoy this from Andrew Bone:

Tennessee commitment sneaks in T-town
Ethan Wolf, three-star tight end from Minster High School in Dayton, Ohio, visited Alabama last Tuesday which was kept under the radar. Alabama continues to search for tight ends in this class. I'm told Wolf is one who is high on the recruiting board for the Tide. He maintains solid with this commitment to the Vols.

Under the radar? Didn't he mention the visit on Twitter?

This just proves Bama's staff is good at spotting talent. Even if it takes them MUCH longer than our staff.
