If the work we've done with Ford can withstand a "heat of the moment" commitment to Urban after he pours on the fluff and lies, then I think Ford will be a Vol.

If depth chart is really a concern for Poona then Ohio St shouldn't be an option for him. They have taken 15 DL over the last 3 classes.
They signed 3 DE's and 3 DT's in 2013
3 DE's and a DT in 2013
3 DE's and 2 DT's in 2012

The need for DT's and early PT is much greater at TN

I wonder if this guy will end up getting bumped to a 4* on rivals. His film is very impressive (appears to have a great 1st step) and his offer list is very solid as well. I'm thinking he will get that bump in his ranking.

“My coach called Ohio State and I talked to coach Vrabel,” Ford said. “He just said they don’t want to hold off anymore so they are going to offer me. I knew it was coming, but I didn’t know it would happen that soon.”
Ford had a good idea the Buckeyes were going to offer from talking to Withers. But it was still a big deal.
“It was a pretty good feeling,” Ford said. “I was interested even when they didn’t offer – they were one of my top choices even then.”
When asked to name his top schools in addition to Ohio State, Ford said, “Tennessee, South Carolina and Ole Miss. I don’t have a leader.”
Ford worked out at the Buckeyes’ camp last summer. He will be back again with his coach to work out at the June 9 Ohio State camp.

Maybe C2P can confirm, but I think this visit will have a pretty big impact on Poona's recruitment. Hopefully he comes out of it with UT still at/near the top and my guess is that we may see a commitment soon after, one way or another...

Per that same article OSU writer says he is not a take atm for the OSU staff

Kurelic’s Comment: I give the edge to South Carolina with Tennessee and Ohio State the top two challengers at this point. The Ohio State staff is not ready to push for a commitment from Ford, but that could happen down the road, especially if Ford has a big camp performance. I will be looking forward to seeing Ford at the Buckeyes’ camp in June.

Don't forget that he camps at Tennessee on June 14. It is good that he will be on Rocky Top shortly after being at Ohio State. He will get to see very quickly all the things that made us his leader a few months prior.
