And for the record, whatever # Vic wears, he will go down in history as the first commit of Team 118. The Return of the Legacy's. Vic owns it.

I wonder at what point it is that someone comes into one of the most loved recruits page, and says something really stupid about them, that they realize it was stupid and they're about to get flamed?

Is it with the first reply to the post or (as I think it is) as their finger has just clicked on the send button?

This visit brings up an interesting issue. Do we really think Malone would have gone elsewhere if he didn't get #3? I doubt it, but I fall in line with Bruin on this that numbers shouldn't be promised because I don't think it will make a difference either way. There is no upside that I can see, only negatives a la Vic. If the staff did make those promises then I don't blame Vic for being mad. It basically creates a hierarchy among recruits which could be dangerous for the culture of this class.

Who says it was something stupid? A lot of good kids do dumb things. I actually believe the guy with the fair story. Does it mean VW is a bad kid? Heck no. Kids just act up sometimes. Happens weekly from my experiences.

There are actually other rumors about Vic's departure from CPA that don't put him in a favorable light. Have no idea if they're true so I haven't, nor will I post them. I saw some behavior from Vic in a basketball game last year, before I knew who he was, that floored me. He's a young, confident, brash, talented kid.

From his interviews it seems to me that he's maturing and realizes the incredible opportunity he has before him. I sure hope so....he's loved and revered in Volnation because of how he's handled things since committing to UT. I don't see the need to do anything else other than pull for this kid and hope he has a very successful career at UT.

You guys realize this kid is originally an East Tennessee kid, dating an East Tennessee girl, and has a family who's all Vol?

We also need to take note that Wharton's problems began when he first got to CPA and Wharton's problems ended when he left CPA. Also take note to the fact that CPA is not looked on in a favorable light in this community.
