'14 TN DB Rashaan Gaulden (UT Signee 2/5/14)

It will be funny if him and Cortez McDowell end up being the true stars of the 2014 DB class.

I honestly feel like they will and that's not knocking the other guys.. I just think McDowell and Payne can be absolute stars for the Vols!

Hates hot water, bubbles, and great CB's.... IMO

The thought of Gaulden and Sutton on the corners gives me that same feeling when you first ease into a hot tub.

No UTKnate

By 2016 this defense is going to have ballers at every position. The front 7 and secondary are gonna be loaded with head hunters. I personally can't wait to have a product on the field that we as fans can truly be proud of. :yahoo:

I've kept my peace as rival fans have boasted the last few years.

I've kept my peace, but by crikeys, don't think I have not taken note. We are building, and we are stock piling, and soon... I will speak

... Soon

Great nickel option. Like previously mentioned, it's awesome having talented depth.

Next comes experienced depth.

As was evident from the Orange and White game, our incumbent players at DB (except perhaps for Cam Sutton) are an absolute disaster. This means that early playing time is available at almost every position, and the competition should be wide open.

I think that Todd Kelly Jr. is physically and psychologically ready to start immediately at one of the safety positions. Mosely and Berry both have great speed, but need to learn the position. On the other end of the spectrum, Gaulden and Payne seem to have great skill at DB but might not be physically ready to play SEC football. Given the unknowns, DB will probably be the most interesting position to follow during training camp.

I feel your pain, Brother. SOON! Redemption is near.

It's gonna feel so good to expect to WIN every game again like I did when I was a kid.

Yep. I didn't realize it then but I was pretty spoiled. These last 6 or 7 years have been pretty brutal. It wasn't the losses that hurt so much, it was how we lost that was really painful to watch. They just looked whipped half the time. Even when we lost back in the day we played hard til the end. I want to expect to win and play hard enough to still be respected when we don't.
