*******Update on Barnett's injury*******

Apparently after an imaginary, unnecessary procedure on Derek Barnett's back, Derek pulled himself up fighting through Hooker's report that didn't cite a source and gave Fortenberry some comments that he could post on the VQ this evening.

On Barnett, he told me he had a good visit to Vanderbilt and watched them scrimmage that night. He told me Tennessee continues to recruit him the hardest and that it's not just one coach, but several coaches that have formed a good relationship with him.

He, like Mosley, gave no definitive timetable, saying it could happen in a few weeks or in a few months and that he likely will take official visits and mentioned Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Ole Miss as three schools he'd like to see this fall. He said as of Tuesday night he likely wouldn't be able to make it to Knoxville Saturday as his team plays a scrimmage in Kentucky the night before. Didn't rule it out, but looks doubtful.

The thing I saw posted said it was from the TSR text box. That's not a report. I can text their text box right now and say that, for example, Chris Weatherd died in a car accident. Anybody can send any manner of troll "news" just like you can on twitter or a message board.

Idk maybe he got dinged up but it sounds like some people got trolled. If he had a broken back or something I feel like it would have made news somewhere else by now.

Yeah, I've never really sat through Hooker's show very often. Not a fan. But if that's how he bases the news he puts on the show then that is pretty reckless IMO. Too many nutjobs that will take advantage of that medium.

I agree, it was obviously a troll job or at the very least an exaggeration of Barnett possibly being shook up on a play. After Fort's comment last night, I would imagine he's fine or it would have been reported then.
