I am not really sure what "a lot of moving parts" means. It seems like he is either likes Vandy or UT and will choose one or the other. He is very familiar with both schools, so not too many moving parts there.

I absolutely cannot stop laughing that a 247 writer claimed that Barnett could go to Vandy and Volnation, the absolute king of huge freak outs, as a whole just laughed it off. Maybe we are maturing guys.......

LOL UT fans are insisting that Barnett is all vol. They even quoted my posts in this thread and suggested that I'm pretty much an idiot for thinking we had a chance with Barnett.
Does it not occur to them that he is not interviewing until NSD, removed UT commit from his twitter profile, and followed/is being followed by rod chance, acs, coach Mason, and Bruno Reagan? How is that not a good reason to believe that he might flip to vandy?
Apparently he told gaulden he was solid to ut a few days ago, but Gibson also told sherfield he was solid to vandy days before he flipped to ucf.
All I'm saying is, if I were a betting man, Derek Barnett will wear a star v hat on signing day.

Is there a chance, of course there is. This is recruiting, anything can happen. Guess what, UT could also flip Fortuanatte, Garret, and land Adoree Jackson while Butch becomes governor of Tennessee. Anything can happen. I don't think it is likely that Barnett flips. No one called this guy an idiot, just said he was delusional.

I will say it is odd however that Barnett has followed these players and favorited 2 recent Vandy fan tweets. 99% sure he's a Vol, but will be relieved when he signs on Wenseday.

Maybe that dumbass from the vandy site should look into why Barnett isn't interviewing prior to NSD. It is because Jones told him to shut it down.

Also, why would following Austin Carta-Samuel be a good sign? He thinks so highly of Vanderbilt he told his brother to stay away.

If he leaves...whats the big deal....good riddance to him....bye... it will help with the numbers issue...i dont think hes leaving, candy fans have already thrown him under the bus calling him a thug....why would he want to play for that $#!thole program anyways....if he does its BC of competition, and we don't need guys who are afraid to compete...

I don't think he goes anywhere. If you have ever followed Chris smiths work you know he is full of it. Biggest homer on 247. I think we keep him but if somehow he leaves then good luck chasing around north,pig, Malone, Von, Scott, Hurd, helm and the rest of the gang for the next few years. Won't be much fun with all those former San Jose state and Appy State commits by your side.

Chris Smith is the main mod for Vandy 247. He's not an analyst. He's not a reporter. He's a biased journalist. He would be like Sab if Sab was employed by 247.

When Franklin first left Vandy, there were some insane threads (as you may imagine) over there. Barton Simmons literally had to delete some of Chris' post because they were VERY unprofessional.

Barton will even have to correct some of Chris' post because the info was wrong. I posted his Derek Barnett quote here so everybody could get a good laugh.
