Derek plays to the echo of the whistle and is as mean and nasty on the field as he is kind and gentle off the field. He personally apologized to the kid afterwards and apologized to BA for how he represented the school on that one play. He is good kid and I am very happy he's a Vol.

I asked Derek's coach about the Vandy chatter and his response was, and I quote, "hahahaha, Derek ain't going to Vandy, hahahaha."

The last five days there's been several DB threads over there. It's the same guy leading the charge. His name is "DevellionDore". He literally follows and tweets all their recruits. He's like their version of Sab. He might swear he knows something but he has no clue. FranklinVol confirmed it was a non story. Even barton and Ryan tried letting them know but they won't believe it. Pretty telling that even their main mod shot it down immediately IMO. Let em dream. They will be upset on Wednesday morning.

A few vandy fan friends of mine refer to Williams as "The Goldfather". Which is actually quite comical!

By all accounts, only a Vandmania poster and now Chris Smith have substantiated the rumors. Not exactly credible, especially when it's been shot down by Barton Simmons (Vandy homer)
