Man I love we owned Nashville this year. If we can put up a fence around Nashville and Atlanta and even if we can get into Richmond and Charlotte and also Clevland and Cincinnati that is a good base for our recruiting.

Jancek said at the celebration that Derek weighed in at 281 lbs on his OV. Too big, too athletic, too good to keep off the field this year. IMO

Coach Steve Stripling on Barnett: "Derek will be a physical defensive end for the Volunteers. He comes from an outstanding program and is a very good technician. He utilizes his hands well and explosive at the point of attack."

This is interesting since this board has been predicting him to be a DT, which he still may be depending on development. I guess that means the DTs are Sawyers, Mosley/Robertson (whichever doesn't play OG), Williams and the DEs are Barnett, Hendrix, and Henderson.

I don't pretend to know where they will all end up but I can say this is the best DL haul that I can remember when you combine quantity and quality.

No doubt! I bet LebanonVolunteer had visions of sugar plums dancing in his head all night last night.

I think Barnett, Sawyers, O. Williams, and Hendrix will all play meaningful snaps this year.

This. All 4 of these are clearly talented D-lineman. The Sawyers signing lifted my spirits about DT. A lot of Big Dog Dan Williams in him.

Others may get a shot at it, but I would prefer they RS some of them. I can definitely see Robertson and Moseley on the O-line at some point. O-lineman with some nasty in them are the best kind.

Moseley appears to be more SEC ready than Sawyers.

O. Williams is a juco, if he's not ready to play then they shouldn't have signed him.

We lost most of our defensive line...there are lots of snaps available...I don't see any redshirts.

That's much more than a good base that would b amazing.

No, according to the coaches and scouting services Sawyers is more ready. Mosley is carry more bad weight Sawyers is a solid 305. Jones mentioned today or yesterday that he expected Sawyers to compete right away for snaps on the DL. He didn't say that about Mosley.
