In the next 18 months......

3-4 will leave after this spring
2-3 will get booted for grades or discipline
3-4 leave next winter/spring
2-3 told they may want to explore other options
2-3 don't make it in due to grades either this fall or next.
1-2 go pro early

That's 13 to 19 plus the 12 or so seniors we already have using up their eligibility. Getting to 25 is not a problem.

Curious who you think will be going pro early?

Pearson and/or Maggitt could. A guy could blow up. Say Marcus Jackson. I may have been reaching by saying 2 could go but Sentimore went early and shouldn't have. Dennis Rogan did also although I think he felt like he was going to flunk out eventually.

Let's not forget Owen Williams, rumored to already be the strongest player on the team with an exceptional work ethic and his explosiveness. He could have a big year and might leave early to go pro.

I hope Owen stays for 2, he is quick and that is what we need on the DLine.

He could've started at any of our 4 dl positions last year. Beast that plays with some nastiness.

I've been thinking (hoping) that CBJ worked out a deal with M. Jackson and Maggitt to let them redshirt this past year if they verbally agree to stay 2 more years. At least that is the angle I would've taken with them.

If he stays healthy, I could see Maggitt staying his last year because if not he'll get hit on his eval for not being durable.

"I've just been able to focus on school and being a student and enjoying the last few months at school. I've just been working out and grinding and now I'm ready to get started with Team 118," Barnett said. "I've been running with the track team. I feel good and I feel stronger. I've been trying to keep my speed up and stay in shape."

"I grew close to Coleman. Any time I go up there we're always hanging out and he's laid back and I like him. I got real close to D'Andre Payne, too," Barnett said. "I talked to Coleman and he's told me about practice and workouts and I've been hearing some stuff about him so I just congratulated him and he said he wants to help me be ready when I get there and that I'm going to have the opportunity to play right when I get there."

If he has been running track that is great. Should come in with at least a decent level of conditioning and ready to compete. Can't wait to get the D-lineman recruits in. Its really going to make guys like Vereen, J. Williams, and O'Brien better. Heck hopefully it will push Owen to the next level.

Wonder what his weight is right now.
Wasn't he one that was heavier at the DE position and could potentially be a DT.

Yes, which leads to believe if he is running with the track team then he is working on his speed and explosiveness to stay at DE.
