I think both Barnett and Hendrix will see roles that just keep expanding the longer the year goes on. No disrespect to any current player, but I think these two kids are the closest thing we have to a true SEC DE(size, speed, athleticism). Jmo

Nice pair of bookends for years to come!

Maggitt healthy is a true SEC impact DE. #56 is very good and our fans have forgotten how good he is when healthy.

"you'll see Jordan Williams make plays at DT that we haven't made in the past".

With all the good news about young DL and more coming, it's good to know we have an upperclassman in the middle of it that will make plays that we couldn't make last year.

Wait...you mean when the coaching staff said they were recruiting Hendrix and Barnett as DEs, and not as DTs as some here insisted, they really meant it?!? But, but, what about coach speak and telling recruits anything they want to hear?!?

Sure they may eventually wind up there, but just maybe VN will get to the point where we believe the staff to be trustworthy...

I hope we keep both at de but after a year of SC who knows.Both should be 275/280 by then.

My point was that Hendrix (I think) kept saying the staff was recruiting as DE, yet many here insisted that they were lying to him. If Strip means what he says about size being a non-issue if they are fast enough, I would think they fully intend to leave them at DE. Even more likely given our success recruiting DTs...

I was at that game, and Maggitt looked phenomenal coming off the edge. It is critical that he stays healthy this year. A healthy Maggitt and Vereen all year will make our secondary look much better.

Sean Ellis was a nightmare for our opponents...Hendrix could end up similar in size to Big Cat
