I don't understand slamming a good local prospect. What do some of you clowns gain by doing it? The kid will play at a BCS school. By the looks of the roster we have now he could easily find himself playing at UT. I see a half dozen receivers he is better than right now. The only returner better at this stage is DY.

DY isn't a great returner, and are you saying as a Sr in HS whom we haven't offered is better than 6 of our WRs on roster? If so who?

Most who down this kid haven't watched him play or he made their kid look silly on the field. Love to see local kids get a shot even if it's not with the Vols.

When I say athlete it means it means all around: offense, defense, punt and kick return etc. Of course TK is better at safety, and has bigger size thats why he is a 4*. Not hating on the kid at all I'm glad he is gonna be a Vol for the next 4 years.

TKjr does it all for his HS team too if I'm not mistaken. He's a pretty good RB and a safety.

Guy from Rivals said on the Tony Basillio show today that if it was last year or next year this guy would be a Vol. this year just no space.. Big Will said he thinks he is better than both Berry Twins.. Very Versitale.. Guy from Rivals said that Oregon State HC told assistants go find the Best 5 WR left.. They came watched Fulton Friday and Offered Hawkins... Anyone else hear this on the radio???

Also Nominated Mr. Football

Not downing this kid as I'm not too familiar with him at all, but I think Evan Berry us potentially one if the best in our star-filled class. Not only is he likely the fastest, but he has good ball skills for WR or DB.

Hopefully Hawkins is as good as Oregon State thinks he is and he balls out there. They love throwing the ball at Oregon State.

I'm with you, man. Sorry to blow up multiple threads tonight about Hawkins, but this kid would be an amazing returner. Possibly even a solid slot. Would be a shame to see Oregon State or anyone else end up with him. Come on, Butch!

Lol, Tri-city refs calling this game. They're trying like heck to cheat Fulton. Not really helping imo.

Fulton has had two INTs against Greeneville negated.

Yes, the second one was a fabulous play. It is a shame they took it from the young man. Greenville stomped on the Falcon midfield before the game. That looks to have been a crucial mistake.

On the other hand....this is a really good Greenville team. It really is.

If UT passes on Hawkins, let me give what may prove to be a similar miss (albeit of sizable proportions). I'm a UNC bball fan; we opted for Joel James instead of Montrezl Harrell (a native NC and UNC fan), who is now on his way to stardom at Louisville. Not saying the same would happen with Hawkins, but when they're in your own backyard, you can't let them get away.

While you may be right, it feels like we have WRs committed with similar or better talent.

1st post. Long time reader of the VN recruiting board.

I saw this kid last week for the first time. He's the real deal. His track times show elite 100m time equivalent to Malik Foreman and Devrin Young. He can play D-1 most anywhere at WR/KR . For our roster, based on needs, I would project him as a CB. I'm guessing we liked other receivers more and felt Mosely and Payne were better fits at Corner.
