Understandable, but there's a lot of variables apparently at work. Hyams sounded like (due to certain factors) it would almost be like he was on full scholarship, making money a non-factor. He would have a chance to come in for a SEC team and prove he belonged, eventually gaining a full scholarship. I guess it just depends on how much of a risk he and his family thinks such a decision would be as well as how big of a Vol fan he is (if at all).

DY is a senior next year? Could slide right into his scholarship if he performed IMO.

I really hope we can work this out with all these guys. Good depth, and I really believe Hawkins is a scholarship-worthy returner/slot. I understand our recruiting this year as been so successful though, that numbers have been limited.

That would be the perfect way to finish this class. Starting to think this Butch guy knows how to rebuild a football program.

hopefully it works out like that, but im not gonna get excited about it until we hear something official

Thanks, vl. I'll look on my TV guide, although I'd be remiss in my duty as a SEC fan to watch it over the SEC title game. Plus, my wife and her family are all big Auburn fans/alums. I guess I'll have to route for them tomorrow. :loco:

Big Game in the State final for Local Prospect..4TD State Final MVP.. Maybe we will be lucky enough to have him as a walk-on. Says he intends on visiting UT-Chatt and Oregon State.. And waiting for more offers

I'm not going to name any names but Hawkins is a lot better than some of our current commits can't believe this kid isn't ranked top 10 in the state

I agree. I'm on the Xavier Hawkins bandwagon. Kid could run circles around some of our current players and maybe even some of our current commits.
