'14 TN Xavier Hawkins WR/CB/KR

Yes I really do hope so and think that. Why would the coaches come sit besides some random dude and chat about a random player? It's obvious you're related. I wish you all the best.

I assure you that is not possible. I'm a bit to light skinned to be related. They came in and sat down about 5 seats down from me and my friends and we just started talking. I know it's hard for all the experts on here to believe that but it's true. What I don't get is if this kid can only walk on or he isn't good enough them why so many on here checking up on his thread?

Dumbest post of the year material. Congrats.

No, watch creamers film and than Hawkins. Don't just look at the height and offers. Hawkins film is twice as good and could be a better player if given the chance

I read most posts on VN. I'm not here analyzing posts or anything, but I don't want to not open a thread in which there could be news on the kid because his father is being defensive. Your son is a good player, good luck in the future. Let us know if you have an actual update please!

Isn't Hawkins around 5'8" 165 and Creamer 6'3" 225? Why are we comparing these two?

Creamer is slow as ever.. looks more like a TE to me on film.. Hard to compare Hawkins to such a slow WR.. Hawkins is shifty cutting across field hitting the sideline. i like Creamer his size and potential his Dad is a Vol for life and this is the Legacy Class.. But judge for yourself..

Because "Xavier fast, he good". The homerism is too strong here for his dad and touch. They obviously have a horse in this race, and it isn't supporting UT.

I have no Horse in this Race, I just follow Local Talent I'm not campaigning for butch to sign Hawkins. I think they are different types of football players and tough to compare. if it was any other year this kid would be a Vol. He is the exact size of Deandre Payne but, He just isn't goin to fit in our class this year. Have you seen his film? What do think about Hawkins ? Are u Impresesd at all? He Also just received a 3rd star on 24/7

I think a fair comparison to Hawkins would be Derrell Scott Both offensive home run hitters and similar size.

Creamer has more upside in terms of being able to play multiple positions. I think he'd make a great SLB in 2-3 years, but he also could play TE, WR, or DE as Ron stated. Hawkins is in the Devrin Young category. He's best with the ball in his hands, but once he gets on campus he'll most likely find he really can't see the field past special teams. Now don't get me wrong special teams are very important, but guys like Evan, Malone, and Vic can take care of the returning responsibilities and have a lot more upside then Hawkins. I'm all for local kids walking on, but 9 times out of 10 they are nothing more then special teams players here.

Good little player but wouldn't make it in the sec. Can't really break tackles but he is great in the open field. I would take him over the Woods kid at LC for 2015 so if he would grey shirt maybe worth an offer, but I still think he would have a hard time in big time college football. He does play for a multiple champ team

Great post.

Missed on local kid (DB) Ty Hayworth who is starting @ Wake as a redshirt Freshmen.... Stud

I hope this kid's recruitment doesn't turn into another Randall Cobb deal. I would love to see the local kids get a shot.

I understand it is a tough thing to determine. Just have to trust the coaches choice.... But would love to have him.

he played ball with my nephew,we looked for him during a couple of games this year,of course we were swapping channels during the commercial breaks while UT was playing, how good did Ty do for them ? I thought he was a back up for them ?

We did for a while. Then Cortez and Gaulden happened. He missed his shot

Wasn't there an issue about his position? IIRC, UT suggested he move to LB, but he wants to play in the secondary and Vandy told him he could. It seemed like a pretty quick commitment. I imagine he'll regret his decision when Josh comes to UT and we get back to curb stomping Vanderbilt.
