Florence linebacker Keaton Anderson goes in depth about his commitment to Alabama | AL.com
Sounds as though he just really wanted to be at Bama....Good luck to you Keaton just not when you face Tennessee
If the kid picked bama, I am alright with it. The fact is right now they are one of the top dogs and I understand why kids choose to go there.
I honestly don't want to believe that the staff slow played him or did not push because they liked other LBs better. The kid is a legacy and IMO should be a priority. He has a very good offer list. Can't help but look at it and say if he is good enough for bama with where they are, no doubt in my mind he should be good enough for the Vols.
I'll go with he chose bama because it was better for him.
We're in on way better linebackers than this kid. No way he should be a take with our limited spots *wink* *wink*
He probably won't even be on scholly for Alabama. His family has that books-a-million money to pay his tuition.
It is what it is. Kind of saw it coming a few days ago. Hate losing a legacy to bama, but the kid has got to do what's best for him.
I get folks are saying he won't be on scholarship there. We'll see. Just because there are 3 *'s by his name does not mean ALOT of schools may not feel he is better than that. His offer list is strong and bama taking him this early has me thinking he will be on scholarship.
Even with limited spots, if this kid wanted to be a Vol I would have made it happen. I had 3 LB spots in my class of 20. Cherry is the only 1 set unless Dews shows up on the list shortly. Anderson's film is strong.
I'm not a stargazer. Trust me, there are plenty of 3*s that I'm pumped that we've landed but I'm really not impressed with this kid and haven't been from the start. He's not big, he doesn't look that fast for a LB on film and I really doubt he's 6' to begin with after seeing that pic of him standing with Saban.
Not trying to hate but Sapp, DeBerry and Baker are easily better than this guy at LB. I mean I guess it sucks that he's a Vol legacy and will be going to Bama but I've learned that if Butch really wants a Vol legacy, then he lands that Vol legacy.
I would bet that either A. (Most likely scenario) He wasn't one of Butch's top priorities at LB or B. the kid grew up in Alabama and just didn't want to be a Vol. Either way, I'm not losing sleep over this. If he weren't a legacy, no one on this board would even know who he is imo.
I would tend to think we would know who he is as he did hold a Tennessee offer and was being recruited by our coaches legacy or not. I'll feel better if I just tell myself it was his decision to go to bammer.![]()

What? That's stupid.
The staff does like other linebackers better, and there is nothing wrong with that.
You don't take a kid just because he's a legacy. Or, while we're at it, just because he's in state.
There are better linebackers out there for our scheme.
Hope the kid does well at Alabama.
Agree. I like LV but you don't put Tyler Summit at QB because he's Pat's son. Extreme analogy but drives the point home.
