'15 AL OL Brandon Kennedy

Why would you need written permission to talk to a team if you no longer belong to the team because you were released? Explain that?

You are talking like he was still a part of the Alabama team but he wasn't because he received his released you Dolt.

Because that the rule. The rule is simple. You posted it

I am not saying I agree with the rule. Just stating I know the rule and it's clear

He had already received a release from the Football team. So he could do whatever he wanted. To include talking to SEC schools. As long as he planned to sit out for a year. Since he didn't want to sit out for a year he asked Alabama to allow him to transfer to an SEC school and play immediately. They said no and took away his priviledges to talk to SEC teams and his priviledge to transfer to an SEC school and start immediately.
Are you 100% certain about that sequence of events and those details?

I could be wrong, but it's my understanding that when he initially requested a release to transfer from UA, he was promptly given one with stipulations that he is restricted from transfering to any school in the SEC along with a list of schools on UA's schedules during his remaining eligibility. I've also heard that those are UA's standard policies that are clearly explained and stated in UA's standard NLI that student-athletes are well aware of and agree to when they sign the NLI.

It doesn't matter. This stuff literally happens every week when players transfer. Coaches/players can talk to third parties who can relay the message. Seriously, it happens all of the time.

Can't believe you guys are this serious over the issue. If it was the other way, I guarantee you wouldn't care.

Yep. No reason to even care really.
It's going to happen and can't be policed.

It's really why I am not in favor of allowing grad transfers to play immediately but so many of you think it's the right thing to do I am close to changing my mind on that

You can't be restricted from transferring within the SEC (You just have to sit out a year) he wanted to transfer and play this year, hence the issue.

Edit: Let me clarify as a Grad Transfer that is.

39 posts on this topic for you. Kind of like your coach, why you care so much about an 0-8 SEC team?

Since you haven't followed any of the conversation that note was sent per my previous conversations after Kennedy said he wanted to transfer to the SEC and play immediately. Requiring a waiver.

He was already granted a release before this letter.

Thanks for playing though.

Lol

Yet more than sec schools are listed. You claimed it was Just because of the sec schools

You probably should just give up, go hide or say you were wrong at this point

You realize they were only included because they are on their game schedule for this year correct?

Lol

So it wasn't the SEC rule as you stated?

More false statements from you. Lots of them now

I have not stated anything false. Any poster besides you can see that. Hence why you shouldn't be allowed to post anymore.

Lol, good try again though.

P.S. anytime before this Kennedy could have talked to any of those school because he was granted a release. He would of just had to sit out a year.
