'15 AL OL Brandon Kennedy

If this dude has already graduated and still may have 3 years left to play. He may very well be a Doctor by the time his eligibility is up...............LOL
Kennedy does have three years of eligibility left. And he graduated in December, so he has already taken a full semester of grad courses. If he has a good enough 2018 season he could enter the 2019 NFL draft with his Masters Degree already in hand.

TBF, Warmack also only has one year left and is transferring to a school that has no chance of being matched up with Bama anytime soon.
Well yeah. And TBF, it seems pretty clear that those facts fully support the points that I was making.

If his first RS wasn’t medically related, his second one is unlikely to be approved. He didn’t automatically get a medical RS...he has to apply for an additional season. Didn’t work for us with Jerry Colquitt.

I believe the medical RS was recently approved. Hard to see him pursuing degrees for six years, but I believe he has three years of eligibility left.

I could be wrong, but it's my understanding that Kennedy's medical redshirt for the 2017 season has been approved.

He possibly has 3 years left but I highly doubt he uses them. If he is good here he may enter the draft next year. I could see 2 years max.

But he had a standard redshirt before? If so, that’s not how it works. Along with Jerry Colquitt, we had an OL, Marcus Jackson, a few seasons ago who redshirted after his junior season because he was backing up Alex Bullard. He tore his bicep the following Spring and was ineligible for a medical redshirt because the first one wasn’t medically related.

I agree, as I mentioned above. As someone else mentioned, if he stays in school for three more years he could have quite a few diplomas.

Report: Second reserve lineman to transfer from Alabama (247Sports/BOL)

"...Kennedy was the Crimson Tide’s backup center a season ago and during the team’s 15 spring practices. Last year, he saw action in three games off the bench against Fresno State, Vanderbilt and Ole Miss but suffered a season-ending foot injury early in the year that limited his playing time. Because of that, Kennedy received a medical redshirt at season’s end.

The Wetumpka, Ala., native played in seven games as a redshirt freshman in 2016. He saw his first career action in the season opener versus USC, playing six snaps in the fourth quarter..."

Only way he got a medial redshirt was if his first year was also a medical.

Very seriously doubt Bama is going to help with that

Hopefully that's already done

According to the article I posted a few posts above, it's already done.

We're talking about Bama. Different set of rules for them compared to UT.

I hear you!

I just find it odd that Kennedy already had both medicals approved. Usually that second one isn't even handled until late in a players career it seems

This is what I thought too

Yeah...I get it. Somebody wrote it. Doesn’t change the procedure. I think he has two seasons of eligibility.
