-VQ.Quarterback Josh Dobbs isn't only working on his own craft; Dobbs, who's routinely been among the last players out of the complex while he gets additional throwing sessions in and seeks to elevate his downfield accuracy, also has been working closely with Sheriron Jones. Jones has been right there with Dobbs, both in the complex and outside of it trying to glean as much information and pointers as possible.
Love to hear this. It will be interesting to see what Jones can do after two years honing his craft under Dobbs.
I'm too hype for the QB competition Spring 2017.
I feel like VN needs a thread where you simply state the last name of the QB that succeeds Dobbs. One day t will be fun to bump.
If Guarantano is as good as advertised, we may never see Jones hit the field as the starting quarterback, unless Dobbs is injured. If Hunter Johnson signs on with the 2017 class, the term embarrassment of riches comes to mind. It is haed to imagine Guarantano, Johnson and Jones in the QB race. I think that puts us in the position to win, no matter who is behind center.
Maybe. But a second, or even third QB may be pressed into service in a critical situation at some point during the year. Good to know that if that happens, a talented, well-coached athlete will be there to answer the call and execute the offense. We have lost to our share of 2nd and 3rd team QBs. Time to win with one.

I'll never forget Peyton's first year, how many QBs we had to put in that season.
I went to Pasadena and was there the first time Peyton stepped in to play against UCLA. He almost brought them back for the win. There really wasn't ever gonna be another QB after that. Peyton made the right choice, Helton made the right choice and Brandon Stewart made the only choice he had.

Anyone think this kid would be starting against us this season if he stayed with Florida? As bad as their QBs are he would have a shot.
Will Grier was rated the #2 pro style QB in the country and a top 50 recruit. Highly doubt Jones would beat out Grier and Harris as a true Freshman. Plenty of upside with Sheriron though.
Grier's got a live arm but that's about it. He couldn't play last year and their QB play was horrid.
