Being 100% nice and aboveboard works for Cut at Duke...but he ain't winning a national championship there...even Dooley screwed over recruits trying to get better...in his typical fashion he chose wrong...Christian Harris over Khalid Henderson and Alden Hill over Imani Cross.
I'm all for football coaches being 100 percent straightforward with recruits after they commit...would like that at President also...just not realistic.
Khalid Henderson was traded for Otha Peters and Dallas Santos but the result was the same. The Imani Cross for Alden Hill trade along with Grahams inability to flip Mike Davis could have been a disaster had we not been able to get in on "sweet jacket" Queshaun Watson and Devante Borque late (blue font). You are right these were typical Dooley recruiting scenarios.
Expecting the coach to operate with trust, integrity and good character is not going overboard.
Most on ere will tell you that is not part of the recruiting equation. At least not on the coaching side of it. Now if a recruit does something shady, like not commit to UT, there is $$ involved, white girls, and all sorts of shady things.
Let UT's coaches hang a kid out to dry. It's what is best for the kid, the program, and let's not mention it again.

Answer me this, are ethics and integrity appropriate for all industries with the exception of college football athletics?
In the video you refer to, is the difference in the QBs' highlights the supporting casts or the QBs?
No. And I never said anything to imply I thought they were. I don't have a problem with the staff being held accountable if its CONFIRMED they lied. I really think that you're argument isn't with me.
Did you have the same requests when people were blasting Coach Jones for not playing Dobbs sooner and at other times people have been critical?
Yes it is. He thinks we're all part of the conspiracy to lure in 2 QB's and then tell Jones to decommitt from Fla at just the right time so we can get all 3. It's all our fault.
There you go. She doesn't perform for the school and they don't reward her with a scholarship. See the difference? The athletes aren't getting a free education. They pay for it with blood, sweat and tears on and off the field.

Actually I do. I was one of the posters who brought up how ridiculous the discrepancy was between the posts with 5 minutes left in the SC game vs how everyone had a sudden change of heart at the end. I've been a UT fan for a long time and I try to pay more attention to the marathon than the sprint. But thanks for asking!!
Yes and one transferred because we took another QB, one misses home, one got yelled at, one doesn't like the circle of life drill. Lot of blood sweat and tears being given there. Yes these players play hard and I'm not saying its easy. But stop acting like its BUDS.
Actually, she does have a substantial academic scholarship. But the amount is real so these guys do have $25,000/year jobs. Plus they are showcasing their abilities to potentially make huge paycheck. Arguing that they are slaves is laughable. No one forces them to choose a school, accept a scholarship, and play football. It is a symbiotic relationship.
You stop acting like the university is doing them a favor.
Ummm taking kids often from often impoverished backgrounds, who are often first in family to go to college, and providing them with 500k worth of benefits plus the chance to make a living or play professionally??? Yep, I'm gonna keep acting like the U is doing them a favor.
