Drew Richmond was committed to another school. Sure did not stop CBJ and company from continuing to recruit him. IMO it's the timing of this that makes it look obviously shady. The staff waited will it's almost too late for QD & JJ to do something else unless they want to just start over.
CBJ pulled the same thing when he snuck Dobbs in with the 2013 class.
I suppose future QBs especially should be paying attention.
Are you really blaming CBJ for adding Dobbs to the 2013 class? If so, you've lost it. Ferguson apparently couldn't handle competition and so he's gone even though he was allegedly ahead of Dobbs on the depth chart. Without CBJ "sneaking" Dobbs into the class, we would've gone 4-8 or worse after Worley got hurt. I, for one, am glad CBJ snuck Dobbs in.
For the record, I'm not sure that I'm excited about adding Sheriron Jones at this time. I think Dormady and Jennings are a very solid haul and I would prefer to use the spot on an OT or LB or S. That said, if CBJ thinks Jones is much, much better than either of the current commitments, he has to take the risk and add the player that gives him the best chance to win a national title. College football is a big business and you either win or you get fired. So, CBJ will do what he has to do and the recruits will either respond favorably to the competition or transfer and every program loses players to transfers regardless of their ethics. CBJ is building a competitive program and the players either like it or can leave it.
