There is obvously a reason that butch didn't go after jackson whether it was lack of interest, did not fit the offense, didn't like personality, etc it was not because we missed out if butch wanted him he would have tried it be in there

Heard Doug Matthews say a few weeks ago that UT will actually look to take 2 TEs this class. I thinks it's 100% that we take 1 at a minimum and Clark would be a good one to take 😊

Not so fast! There was discussion last night that TG may be a TE. :)

If they get Lewis, that means no 2nd RB IMO though he would play TE. No 2nd WR and the staff could take TG at TE.

We're not taking 2 TEs. Period. Much simpler.

As much as I like Oliver's potential... And I think he could be great one day, with the TE haul we had last cycle and the ones we are in on next cycle... I'd rather use that spot for another OL spot... I feel like we can't afford to miss on an OL prospect right now with our depth so I'd like more insurance there incase a prospect doesn't workout.

Edit: and that goes for all TE this cycle not just Oliver. I'd like to pass on all of them.

Agreed. This kid screwed up and announced NC out of the blue way early, then decommits, gets a do-over and still doesn't look our way? Mods, do your thing please.

I agree! I think we had a very good chance to get Harris to be a Vol if given an offer. He has a lot of family ties to UT. He's narrowed his list to four: Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and Vandy. CB is predicting he commits to Bama I think at 50% and Georgia at 43%. I read that he plans to commit in the next week or two.

I'm as big a UT fan as anyone. If I were Jackson Harris and a UT offer came at this point, I would probably put "return to sender" on it.

(Yes, I know the offer would not come in the mail).

You're probably right. If the coaches had a change of heart and gave him an offer, I'm sure Jackson would say, "a little too late!" I wouldn't blame him! I bet he was disappointed he never got an offer from UT but he needs to go where he is wanted!

Ummm.. No.. No you're not as big a UT fan as anyone.. Recruiting's not personal, it's business.. A spot opens up at UT for me- I don't care if I'm their 500th pick, I'd commit on the spot.

This is a forum where the biggest of fans post. Just because he can be a bit negative doesn't mean he's not a huge fan.
