'15 FL DE Marques Ford (FORMER UT commit)

Damn man. Feel bad for the kid. He turned down a bunch of chances lately to go visit elsewhere. He'll definitely be a VFL to me.

Feel bad for this guy myself, hope it doesn't get ut banned from recruiting an area of Florida or give butch a bad rep

When you bring in 4 4* or better at the same position one will most likely transfer the next year anyway, might as well bring in someone who can contribute at another spot.

The only thing about doing this is you start to burn bridges with the HS coaches of these kids unless you have a dang good reason or your willing to find them a place. I hope they don't have a player we want anytime soon. It's late in process and the kid has told others No that came in to talk to him. Luckily he is highly rated now so it shouldn't be hard for him to get another offer. Unfortunately it will probably be our rival, Florida.

So that leaves us with Butcher, Phillips, Taylor(hybrid like Maggit) as 3 DEs we are taking in this class. I did see a comment from Austin Smith that he could also play that hybrid Maggit role. So I wonder if they see him as a DE solution. We also may be in it for Tega a lot more than I thought

Yeah, I think this is a good example of the numbers working themselves out. Something probably had to give, with Tennessee having very little room left in its class

Callahan's answer when someone asked if Tennessee asked him to look elsewhere.

Hate losing this guy, but that's how the game goes. Recruiting always has crazy twists and turns, but it doesn't take the sting away. Best of luck to Marques wherever he ends up. I'll be pulling for him.

He'll probably go to UF and sack Dobbs 6 times in the Swamp next year like Alex Brown did to Tee Martin, because Vol Luck.

Peterman could transfer to UF and throw for 300 yards against us next year.

With Dooley coaching him.

It is simply amazing the amount of purely unsupported speculation that goes on with this board. I would venture to say that few, if any, on this site actually know the full story behind this move. This young man may have simply changed his mind....maybe he doesn't like the weather. Neither this class nor the momentum of the program are going to dissipate due to this de-commit.
