Still odd that they chose Ford. They have let Jackson and Ford walk. They must be pretty confident in their DE situation.

I know Mixon is likely moving there based on bowl practices and game. I think Jakob needs to go there as well.

IMHO CBJ gets paid the big bucks to be the CEO of our football program. To this point his recruiting operation has been on point. Let's wait and see how this class pans out in the end.

Like many I was really looking forward to seeing Ford play but right now, I'm trusting the man in charge.

I said this yesterday in another thread, I'll say it again today. Some of the posters here need a xanax prescription. The last couple of weeks going into NSD are always insane. Hate to see Ford go, especially since it doesn't seem it was his choice, but you just have to hope the staff makes the right choices. They have a firmer grasp on our needs than anyone of us. I just hope we haven't closed any doors in that region when it comes to future recruiting.

How can you say you're building a family atmosphere when you are telling kids they are out of the family and kids are leaving the family left and right? It seems more like a mob or a mafia.

And I would be very surprised if Hendrix has decided to stay as some of you are speculating. I don't think that's happenning. No inside info, just gut feeling. I think with cuts needing to be made, Butch thought 3 DEs was enough for this class. We'll chase more next year.

My one criticism of Butch and staff in this is accepting so many commits when they knew there were positions of need still not filled. I hope in the future they take more of a slow play approach rather than accepting a kid's commit and building his hopes, just to smash them like this. I honestly feel for Marques because he dedicated himself far more to the Vols than the staff did to him. It's sad.
