'15 FL OL Tyree St. Louis

If anything, practicing against the best would make them look better against opponents who might not be as good. I doubt any O line recruit would possibly be scared off by our defensive players.

Per Hubbs

Mahoney was in Florida spending time with Tyree St. Louis on Wednesday and the more we talk to St. Louis and a few around him the more we get the feeling he's legitimately taking a look around despite his commitment to Miami. St. Louis will take a visit to Syracuse this weekend where he has several former teammates and friends. Next weekend an official visit to Ohio State is in play with Tennessee, Mississippi State and Miami all expected to receive visits in January. From what we've gathered, the three visit destinations in January right now are the biggest factors but obviously an impressive visit at Syracuse or Ohio State could change that.

Any feel for which way this goes? I would think there isn't a more favorable program as far as early PT if that is a concern for him.

Not really. Just rumbling from a Cane Mod claiming St.Lois, Lawson and another OL wont be in Canes class. I posted a few months back St.Louis was going to take visits. That info came from same person.

We led for this guy last year how did we lose him? Was it us going all in on Richmond?

I mean how many OL prospects did we turn down due to Richmond? Huge risk, that didn't pay off, for such a position of need. Now, we are stack loaded at guard, with no true LT.

I doubt we "turned away" many if any tackles. Leb wants to have it both ways, he complains when we try to upgrade a position that we take a early prospect at and then he complains about us being in on a great prospects and missing out on others. Recruiting isn't as clear cut or clean as he'd like to make it out to be and those who keep their job cannot always tread on the side of angels, not saying we have to be complete dirt bags but the team always comes first.

I'm pretty sure it's been reported numerous times that we slow played a lot of OL recruits to see what Richmond did. I'm pretty sure the staff thought if they signed someone like Allen or St. Louis then Richmond may bolt due to competition. It was a huge mistake. Honestly, Id be ok with taking 1-2 OT projects at this point. They may not have the best offer list, but we have to obtain some length at LT.

Are you asking because you don't know? Because I don't know either. So I'm not gonna get worked up about it.
