9,000 posts and it's still 7 months to signing day. It's amazing how many pages in this thread look exactly like. Same 'ole arguments by the same 'ole people.

If you're reading this thread Torrance, well done young man. You've managed to inspire (what will become) the largest thread for a recruit in VN history.

I trust CBJ and the staff when it comes to sorting the numbers out. They did a spectacular job last year. I honestly am not good with the numbers game. Thats why i trust the guys who are good at it. Last year many people (including me) were confused as to how CBJ was going to sign as many as he did. But he did it. Simple.

I'm totally a numbers person, and I like all of our commits. Most will be good players in their careers. I wish I was a mind reader right now.

We only have 16 + whoever will decide to leave. I'm sure we can find 9 bad players on our roster though.

Shut.... up.... already! This discussion is tired. Either we will take him or we wont. If we get him, cool... then well find out what position he will play. Nothing that anybody says here will change whether he is a take or not, or what position he will play. Matt is the biggest insider that has posted in this thread and he says the coaches are still recruiting him.

This has pretty much been discredited in numerous posts. Just how many DE's do you need - there are 14 potentially with only two on the field at any one time. For DT adding Khalil with Quay with Saulsberry with Williams with O'Brien with Sanders with Mosley etc. Plus DE's that grow into DT's. On O-line adding Richmond to what they already have committed plus the youth that is already there plus the DT conversions. Just exactly how will all those that we supposedly need get into a game?

Enough with the chicken little, people. Wring your hands over something that matters like the deficit, healthcare costs, war in the Middle East, illegals - something, anything other than what Butch already has covered.

I'm sure Matt is right. I would expect the coaches to continue to recruit the kid. At least until he decides to commit elsewhere. They may still recruit him till NSD if he commits elsewhere or not. It's recruiting.

No offense...but by now it's not a mystery what you're going to see when you click on this thread...it seems that a lot of esteemed posters,like yourself,Swan and Sto, vent a little more towards the posters that don't believe Gibson is ultimately a take...as long as the only bullet points for Gibsonites is "all the experts say Gibson is #1" and 5 star this and 2 star that"...this is up for discussion!

Once again NO OFFENSE...so YOU CAN'T BE MAD :mad:...but your finely crafted objection stopped being original about the second or third page of this thread...soooo. :horse:

I think Rivals just had a story about Francois. The headline said he will be deciding soon, so hopefully he picks Auburn. That should lock us up with Gibson barring something crazy happening.

Oliver is a TE. How does that effect Gibson again? Why are we arguing if a 5* athlete is a take?

PS I've never seen this much complaining over a 5* athlete favoring us. Seriously WTF is wrong with you guys?

If Auburn lands Francois I doubt they would continue to recruit Gibson so hopefully TG would just go ahead and commit to us before his season starts.

If he doesn't there's more going on here than he is putting out there. IMO if that scenario plays out and he doesn't commit then he has no Intensions to sign here. If he was to drag it out still I would look for Miami or UCF.

I haven't heard anything about UCF but I agree with you about Miami. There my biggest worry right now considering his coach is pushing him to go there.

No problem. Who knows he may. They say he is having his bday party here in Knoxville. Maybe he commits then. If he waits till the Dec we still have a couple months before NSD to get other big time recruits on board with him.
