The coaches CAN'T comment on a recruit. I'd expect TG to ride it out on twitter for as long as he can. Losing 8-10,000 twitter followers will sting IMO.

Also as many have said, they would expect the UT coaches to continue to "recruit" TG through NSD(unless he drops UT from his list). That in no way means they would actually take his commitment.

So the coaches haven't told Hubbs we backed off. Gibson hasn't said the list has changed. Hubbs himself didn't say we stopped recruiting him. How does that equal to we backed off and Gibson dropped us down? Hubbs is making a guess. He guesses we aren't in the lead anymore. That is still way different than the we backed off and Gibson dropped us for sure rumors going around this morning. My point is still true. No where has it been said we backed off and for sure Gibson dropped us down his list.

Regardless of what anyone shows you, it is not good enough for you. Just say you don't care, and move on. No need in asking for proof, and then refuting it. That's asinine.

You must be very new to all this. CBJ can not speak to Hubbs about UT recruits until they sign. Yes, Hubbs is making a guess based off info he has. Hubbs unlike you, does speak directly to these recruits. Hubbs speaks to other schools boards(like VQ) about where they think the kid stands. I'm sure you noticed a lot of the Gibsonites kind of abandoned thread shortly after the news came down. Hubbs and Callahan is about as legit of info as your going to get. You can deny, deny if you need to. That's on you.

I agree completely with K-Town. There is no evidence that we have backed off. Hubbs is basically guessing but everyone is confused with Gibson.

As of now he still has UT as the leaders.

Hubbs 'guesses' are from people he talks with inside the AD. He's not going to cite the source because that's part of the gentleman's agreement he has with the university. So whatever Hubbs is saying has a little more mustard behind it than someone guessing on this board.

TG tells 247 that UT hasn't contacted him as much as they were 247 tells hubbs that ut isn't recruiting him as hard as we were. Hubbs then decides we must of stoped recruiting him. IMO

Proof is not someone saying they think WE MAY back off at some point. Proof is not someone saying we still are recruiting him but they THINK we may not be in the lead anymore when the prospect said we were way ahead. Someone shows me where someone knows something for sure or Gibson says something and I will believe it. Unfounded opinions aren't facts or proof of something.

Just say you don't want Gibson and will hang on to or twist any little hope that we aren't still in it for him. That is what has been going on all morning.

They don't just make stuff up, and they're not going to come out and say, "Hey, Butch told us that TG has character issues and they won't recruit him as hard now." It's obvious that there is proof. These guys don't just make stuff up.

There were reports of "issues" with Gibson.

Gibson went to twitter to "squash" those rumors, or at least some felt that is what he was saying(I didn't read it that way).

Now Callahan is saying there are indeed "issues".

Would not be the 1st time a recruit did not want everything going on disclosed.

If your waiting for Torrance Gibson to post on twitter that Butch Jones no longer wants him at Tennessee you may not ever get what your looking for.

Once he commits to another school, I suppose you could start a "when TG transfers to UT" thread. Who knows, maybe I can get another 1000 posts in that thread as well.

Lesson #1: Don't ever become emotionally invested with any one person. They will leave eventually.

Hubbs has the most integrity of any reporter I know.

Issue are one thing. He may have some. People are saying RC said we backed off. He did not. He said he thinks they may back off at some point. Two very different things. Hubbs says he thinks we don't lead, he didn't say we backed off. Gibson said we lead so I take his word over Hubbs on the leading matter.

Like I said he may have issues. That doesn't mean we backed off. Neither BH or RC said we have backed off. People are really jumping to conclusions and twisting their words.

I guess we will see who is right. No solid evidence that we have backed off yet or that Gibson dropped us. Once he commits here i'm sure you you will start a "what position will he play" thread and stay in that from 8am to 1 am like you do in this thread.

I think it was said earlier that they will be playing on the same team at some camp (or something like that)....If TG is in fact gone, hopefully that's all it is....hopefully.

So what issues could Callahan have been referencing? Serious question. Because usually when a kid has character questions or rough grades, they won't hesitate to say so.

Also, Torrance's last name is mispelled in the thread title. Should be 'Torrance Gruden'.
