Hubbs and Callahan say it, Gibson says it, yet maybe he was not serious.

Let's see if there is some way we can claim to still be in this.

He is in FL. FL is famous for oranges. If I were a Gibsonite, I'd run with it. :eek:lol:

How do you know he was serious? Maybe he was being facetious. Maybe he was being serious. How do you know?

Honestly I don't really care. It's just fun to watch it all unfold. The kid could literally commit to Miami tonight and this time tomorrow there will still be a select few breaking down the ways UT might be able to get back in it.

Once at least in my mind I feel UT and a given recruit will not be coming to terms, not so much. We have 2 good QBs, and it looks like the staff has decided to take Van Jefferson at WR. There is not room for TG. I see it. Hubbs and Callahan are saying it. I suppose I don't need anything else. If you do, that's cool. Keep on holding on. It does make for a good thread to be entertained in.

There sure a lot of rumors being spread about Torrance. As a matter of fact every single piece of negative news concerning Tennessee's recruitment of Gibson has been complete unsubstantiated rumor, some of which have been proven to be completely false. The fact of the matter is Tennessee is still in a great position with Torrance Gibson.

You're not making a lot of sense.

Callahan is trying to reel his kite back in as fast and as gracefully as possible. It was later reported that UT continues the recruitment and is still favored to land him, yet you conveniently omit that.

I don't need anything. I do want the actual facts to be considered, instead of construed to fit an individual desire.

It's one thing to speculate about the potential possibilities of different information, it's another to state that speculation as fact and ignore any information contrary the speculation.

I guess as long as it makes sense to me, that's all that really matters. :)

I'm not looking for any lifeline I can find telling me TG may still be considering UT. I just don't need that. I determined a while ago I did not think he would be part of this class. Nothing at all that has been said recently tells me otherwise. Actually more and more supporting my feelings on it. :dunno:

This goes back to what I was pointing out in the original post. No body wanted to question his authenticity or motive behind naming UT #1, or saying he wasn't turned off by the QD commitment. But now that something negative has arrived people want to think he wasn't being serious. You can't twist every quote to make it fit your hopes and dreams.

So, spending a week in Knoxville and then naming UT a leader by a wide margin doesn't say otherwise?

Learning the recruitment is continuing and UT is still projected as the #1 program to land Gibson doesn't say otherwise?

Everything I have stated can be linked and none of it is speculation on my part.

I'm still confused as to why it is OK to believe TG when he says "I think they did", but it's not OK to believe him when he says the reports of an issue at school aren't true.

Do I think he is in "hold onto twitter followers" mode? I do. Kind of like the Gibsonites holding on to hope he is part of UTs class.

UT will not be removed from his list until the end. He likes twitter way too much to go that far IMO. Even dropping UT down the list would have him losing a large group of followers. People would start to see what was/is being said is accurate.

We'll see how it plays out. It will be entertaining regardless.

That is 100% speculation Leb. I could say the exact opposite and, in theory, it should carry the identical amount of credibility as your speculation... I won't do that, since I might get called a name.

Was it a random person who asked Gibson if UT had stopped recruiting him? If it was I seriously doubt it was a legit answer. He even sent it to others in his reply, from what I can tell at least.

It's recruiting. It's pretty much all speculation. Do I think TG was in damage control when he claimed on twitter the school stuff was blown out of proportion? I do. I even said then that he did not actually say he was not suspended or booted from school. He just said it did not happen like some people said it did. A lot of Gibsonites of course then ran with NONE of it happened and it was all BS.

Then Hubbs and Callahan say what they think.

Then Ainge and the guys on TSR.

TG himself says UT had slowed recruiting him.

A guy from TGs hometown who works for 247(Bartow)says differently. He says UT, AU, OSU, and ANYONE would over sign to get TG in their class in 2015. He also says he has not spoke to TG recently.

IMO Bartow is just setting up TGs commitment to Miami. Bartow works the area. He would be the guy there at the announcement. Just how much pub does that announcement have if just about every big school on his list dropped him due to "issues"? How many people outside Miami tune in to see if he picks UCF or the Canes? IMO Bartow is making a last ditch effort to keep TG as a big story. IMO it will quickly fade out.

Yes, this is all speculation and JMO. :)
