Did I say that? If I were looking for an athlete with red flags he would be the first one I would take. Seriously though, we have a better passer in Dormandy and Jefferson is a more polished WR.

Dormady is not a better passer though. Maybe more consistent. No throw he can make that Gibson can't, arm is not stronger either. Dormady has nowhere near the potential Gibson has. He has a lower floor though. But not the superstar potential.

How can you say Dormady doesn't have superstar potential? He'll be a superstar if he can complete passes and leas our offense.
I don't think Gibson has it between the ears to be a qb at UT.

I'm sorry, has Quentin Dormady played in a real football game since 2012? Does he have 4.4 speed and a Florida state championship on his resume yet? Let's see if Dormady can win some games before tossing around words like "superstar."

Yea I'm sure you of all people are qualified to judge what is between people's ears. Hilarious.

I also have not seen any experts say he has superstar potential like they say about Gibson. Just completing passes and leading a team makes a game manager, not a superstar. I never hear how Dormady can be the next Manning or Luck. I do hear Gibson could be the next Vick or RG III.

I don't think any of that matters playing QB in college. 4.4 speed definitely doesn't.

Completing passes and leading a team is what makes Luck and Manning superstars.
So all you can do is launch personal attacks to refute a point and use experts who probably never played?

So elite athleticism, playing at and winning at a high level doesn't matter in college?

Like I said you aren't qualified to judge what is between people's ears.

Not at QB. Running a 4.4 is secondary for a QB. How do you know Dormady is not going to win this year anyways?

Tell him what?

That elite QBs have to run 4.4's. It seems like this forum falls in love with dual threat QBs. We don't need a guy who is going to get smashed by defenses.

We definitely don't need a team leader who has so much smoke around them.

Chad Pennington just completed passes and lead the team. Manning and Luck put the team on their back and produce a bulk of the offense. Peyton set all kinds of records. He isn't just completing passes. Luck neither.

Aww someones's widdle feeling hurt? I guess you can talk about a teenager you don't know, but can't take it when it gets turned around.

How do you think manning put the team on his back? By completing passes. Luck does the same thing, except he's a smart runner who runs a 4.7.

Personal attacks shows immaturity. I'm just saying Gibson isn't fit to lead our O. I'm not saying he's a piece of crap.

No, they don't have to. How could 4.4 speed on someone who touches the ball every single offensive play be a bad thing?

It's not, but its secondary to being accurate and leading a offense. Making the right decisions and such. Gibson's guys were absolutely great last year at WR. All he had to do was throw it up. Kinda like Bray.

Have you seen Gibson's stats, both passing & rushing?

Also, in the available film, it can be seen that Gibson was delivering accurate passes. He has shown good touch and leads the receivers well. He has a lot to work on, so do most 17 year old people.

I think Dormady will be a good QB, but (according to available film) Gibson has proven he can make all the same throws.

Yes, but it doesn't show much. You could put up those stats if you had elite guys playing with you. I'd like to see him compete against other qbs at camps, which he has not done.

I like Grudens evaluation on domady though.

I edited that post to add a little more.

If we're basing his potential off of the talent surrounding him, wouldn't he be a potential superstar with all of Tennessee's skill players on the field at the same time?
