How do you know TG will be "like totally the best and most hottest college football player to ever soak my panties." You have implied this before.

People resort to childish things like you just said when they don't have anything to stand on. When had anyone said that? He has the most potential out of anyone we have committed or went after at qb this year. That is not a question. Some people like you don't want to face facts no matter how many sources say the same thing. I still have yet to see one comparison by any recruiting guy of Dormady to a NFL or even good college qb. There are many of Gibson to great players.

You keep acting as if I don't want TG...I don't believe I have ever said that. I just think at this point, we are better served filling other needs. This is a needs vs wants scenario in my mind. At this point, I don't see Gibson being a take without a recommitment or bumping off another QB or WR. And I don't see QD leaving, or getting bumped off. Same with JJ or PW. I also think we are close on a couple WRs that would be a take over giving that spot to TG.

I also think you will start to hear more great things about QD as he starts to play again. I would question any analyst who looks at a sophomores highlight film and cries great college or NFL player. Wouldn't you?

I also do think there is a question that he has the most potential out of any QB we have gone after this year. Analysts are split between him being a QB or WR at the college level. The kid doesn't even play QB for his 7 on 7 team. Nor did he get a chance to play QB during 7 on 7 at the opening. In fact, the most praise I heard him receive in regards to his QB drills at the opening involved mention of him being a great QB after 2 years of development.

I'm pretty confident that QD and JJ will be more than efficient after two years in a college program.

The Opening where way better players competed at they raved about Gibson's arm. I mean how do you know which one has "more between the ears"?

I may have missed those comments. The ones I saw mentioned him having a lot of trouble throwing the deep ball well. Another mentioned his quick passes were routinely off the mark. Numerous mentions that he would need a lot of work to be a QB in college.

Now most of the comments that were positive about TG and the Opening seemed to be more about his athletic ability and less about his QBing.

The comments were that he had a great deep ball and touch but would have to work on footwork and mechanics. All the notes I saw from The Opening were of the opinion that he could succeed at QB due to his coachability, though they were not sure he'd get the chance.

Basically, he can be a successful QB if given time to develop.

I'm going with my gut but I'm pretty sure Gibson will be a Vol. Mckenzie and Butch Jones in his ear will convince him to come to Tennessee IMO.

Will commit some time in October, but he's not sure of the date? That sounds very familiar...like he's a silent and will go public when given the green light.

He'll commit to PLAYING QB...or GETTING A NEW VIDEO GAME...kinda like when he was "gonna shock the world" and then announced which all-star game he was going to play in. :mega_shok:

Yup. Like the greenlight after a tough loss to rally the fanbase or the greenlight after a big win to push it over the top...at least for most

Will be interesting to see how it plays out but Gibson just spent a week with our newest Vol...who's repeatedly said that he's been recruiting some of the top talent in the nation. Then all of a sudden he changes his Commitment time frame from "close to NSD" to October. Where there's smoke...

Wasn't last year his first year playing? Maybe he don't go to camps, or want to talk football because his football IQ, mechanics and skills are still a progression thing for him. He still has his senior year to learn more about being a qb and I'm sure that he is studying film, playbooks and working on footwork and mechanics. Everyone will learn more about him this fall. The kid has too much upside to pass on and you can bet the house Butch and company are drooling over the possibilities with him

This kid is an ELITE athlete. maybe he doesnt turn into a Qb but lets think about that for a sec...ELITE ATHLETE... How many times have we been killed by guys like that? Look at guys like harvin, mcfadden, hines ward, trey burton.. Kids that have the ability to do a little of everything at a high level are killer in college. this dude has the size and speed to be a dual threat qb, a wr, a safety and maybe even an outside linebacker with a few years in a strength and conditioning program. kids come in for one position and leave as studs at a different one all the time. look at al wilson, jason witten, the kid that just went 1st overall that butch recruited to central... I think hes a take regardless of how many "qbs" we have committed.

He has slowly been bumping up his commitment date from the start. I wouldn't venture out that this bump has anything to do with Kahlil's commitment. I'm sure that he is pushing TG. I just don't think this bump is because of kahlil or anything.

Exactly what I thought when I read his tweet. CBJ clearly encourages careful timing of commits. He did it all last summer and season, and it seems like he is doing it here with a non-specific October commit date. TG obviously got to hear about UT plenty and hopefully is a silent. October is light years away for a high school kid, so hopefully notice changes.
