'15 GA DE D'Andre Walker

LMAO this is one where I just don't see how we can get in yet another phenomenal DE prospect but yet we lead. I'm going all Leb and trying to figure how we get this guy, Phillips and what we currently already have even if we lose Dylan Jackson. I will say this is the best I've felt about Dline recruiting in a longgggggggggggggggggg time.

Everybody is lining up to play for Strip. His work speaks for itself.

One of the reasons we have taken the lead over Georgia is that we've told him he can start out as an OLB and if it doesn't work out he moves to DE. That was one of the biggest draws that UGA had was offering him as a LB.

Well if this is the case, then that would be Sapp's spot.

I really don't think that's our thinking here. These are two totally different players. Walker isn't an every down SLB. I think we want both a true SLB and a hybrid SLB/WDE. However, I think Taylor fits the role of hybrid SLB/WDE as well, so it'll be interesting to see what happens between now and NSD. If you see us take Sapp, Walker, and Taylor, then you can pretty much bank on Bates moving to MLB next year, it's probably going to happen even if we don't see this trio sign.

Bates moving to MLB is intriguing. He lacks some size for the middle but hearing the coaches rave about his football IQ makes him the ideal guy to run your defense. Not to mention he is much faster than what Eve had in AJ.

He's an inch taller and 23 pounds lighter. He can easily add the weight and catch up to AJ.

I thought he was the one that didn't want to play linebacker and wanted to be a DE. I recall something about how garner was using that against other schools for Auburn that they will turn you into a LB. Maybe I have it mixed up

Just watched his highlight .... Holy..... Nightmare off the edge.... I would forget all about Hendrix with this kid and Phillips... I def don't want him on UGA side

Some have asked about the status of D'Andre Walker and while he's very hard to get on the phone we do believe the Vols made a big impression with him last weekend. Walker will be taking the ACT this weekend and may then take an unofficial visit to Georgia.

Walker has been scheduled to make a decision at the Army All-American Game and if so Tennessee has given him a lot to think about. Regardless, look for an official visit to both Georgia and Auburn in January for Walker as this one looks like it may go the distance. However, it's clear that Walker has remained in consistent contact with the Vols after last weekend's visit.
