'15 GA DE D'Andre Walker

Yep, always lose a game they shouldn't. But, it normally is against a team in the East or an OOC game they should win. Richt has a winning record against every SEC West team save LSU I believe and it's 4-4 or something like that. He loses to teams he has no business losing to but so does Bama, as 'great' as they are supposed to be, they have only been undefeated once in their run.

Edit to add: Walker is and will be a beast. He is a take all day long.

The SEC championship games is what gets them. They can't win games against Bama, etc when all the money is on the line. Richt is a nice guy, but an underachiever when it matters most.

Langston Hughes coach Willie Cannon on Walker:

“He had a great senior season. He finished with all those sacks despite facing a lot of double- and triple-team blocking.”

Why all the sacks? “He has a motor that just won’t stop,” his coach said. “There was a picture in the Newnan newspaper where he was jumping over the running back who was trying to block him to make a sack on the quarterback. That’s the type of effort he gave on a daily basis — even in practice.”

Think we end up with both. Think his Mom being able to see him play more ends up the deciding factor. Hopefully they won his Mom over this wknd.

That pretty much sums it. Moms choice usually wins. Her preference towards LSU can be swayed, but Butch is gonna need to pull out all the swag and really impress. Honestly I don't think Phillips & his mom have made a decision yet, they are taking a nice structured approach to the recruiting process it seems. Got some ground to make up but we've got a nice edge to work with with Perry there to help recruit.

Yea I hope they won her over and showed her that her son will be in great hands. If not then he is LSU bound.

Sounding good from Paul on VQ

Walker - This one has become very interesting. Again, Walker isn't a talker, but from talking to several people Tennessee really nailed it on his official visit with him and his family. Also, how does the Muschamp hiring affect Auburn? Florida wasn't a factor for him so I'm not sure. I think Tennessee has done really well up to this point but even if he announces at the Army game I don't think it will be over. UGA is a wild card here because he has said he doesn't like the 3-4 but continues to entertain them anyways.

He'd be UGA bound if Pruitt promised him a DE position. Lucky for us, he can't do that at UGA. I'm assuming UGA wants Walker to play like Carter did for them this year. Only problem is, Carter is a stud and won't leave the field very much for the next two years. This is a huge advantage for us because we can promise an opportunity to start come 2016. Walker and Taylor are both being sold on the idea of replacing Maggit/Weatherd. In 2016, we should also be ready to compete for the SEC East as well, another huge advantage in our favor.

Bold prediction. Would have double digit sacks within two years at The UT, will be sitting on the bench at UGA...

I'm legitimately worried that quarterback didn't make it.
