Is Walker the one announcing Saturday? Have we had any word come out from P Fort or Hubbs giving their thoughts on the announcement?
And Chavis moved him to MLB for his sr year... Idiot
You will in the SEC. Without a little gristle on the bone, thin DE's/OLB get caught up in the wash too easy.Walker is a speed rusher I don't care what he weighs.
Arm length notables
D'Andre Walker If you're a pass-rusher that is not quite 6-3 and not quite 210 pounds as Walker is, you'd better have a wingspan to lean on for leverage. The four-star has it with arm length at just under 37 inches. Tennessee, Auburn and Georgia are still chasing.

Probably why Maggit gets the lion's share of snaps, rather than sharing more with Chris Weatherd. Weatherd is a lot like OK's Striker, but Maggit has put on a bunch muscle in the past 3 seasons, and he can go toe to toe with most OT's.
That said, I still hope we can pull Walker, his sack totals would go up exponentially with KMac and Tuttle blowing things up in the middle of the pocket.

He's nothing like striker. Striker is barely 6 ft and 220. Weatherd is 6'4. He's built just like Leonard Floyd is. Bc striker is so Short he might be a little thicker than weatherd even though he weighs less.

Weatherd and Stryker are both relatively thin...and they both are pass rushing OLB's, genius. That's the comparison. I don't give two shlits if Weatherd is a few inches taller. Good grief...always some smartazz trying to come along and correct folks.

He had not planned on moving him but nobody worked out as a Mlb and the thought was that he could fill that void better than anyone on the roster. The other thought was that it would be a good move for him to help his draft stock since the belief at the time was that he was too small for DE in the league. Little was an Ok lb but it hurt our pass rush badly. I think he moved back to DE after we put someone else in the middle late in the season.

Yes they are. You're saying so doesn't make it so. Again, they are both relatively thin OLB's who rush the passer very well. So, uh...yeah. They are a LOT alike. Go find a brick wall to argue with. They are not alike nor do they play alike really. Not being a smartass but it's just a bad comparison.
As long as we land Phillips and hang onto Taylor, I'm not worried at all about missing on Walker.
I said a while back that I think Taylor will be the better college player and superior pass rusher and I stand by that.
