So does Austin Smith, and we don't have to put up with bulls$$$ with him which is another bonus. Plus, we landed his teammate who's equally as good. I like Sapp, and it's clear this staff wants another OLB, so you know the only reason he isn't committed is because he's waiting for something better. Walker can play OLB if need be, and he also brings the ability to play WDE. I say forget Sapp and go all out for Walker.

I'm curious if the Atkinson kid that's committed to AU that's been here a ton might be the guy. He's HS teammates with D'Andre Walker iirc.

Yes we have to remember he is coming off of being out a full year in football actually well over a year... Give him time. Also he makes huge impacts in the games he has played just not always in the stat sheet.... Time.

I'd trust what the VQ and 247 TN guys are saying all day over a Vandy beat writer. And they said Sapp has backed off making a decision and is restarting his recruitment from scratch.

People never said they aren't taking him, they are saying if he completely restarts his recruitment that TN will likely not have room for him by the time he is ready to decide.

Completely different from how you've comprehended things.

Sapp has been quoted saying hes waiting on a "big offer" to come along. Hes going to end up not having a spot for himself at UT.

Big offer being Georgia? Sorry is this is old news, havn't kept up with this one as much. But I don't see them on the offer list on 247 anyway.

If so... kid is playing a dangerous game don't you think?

No clue. Georgia isn't even recruiting him and they are going to land Roquan Smith IMO.

It could be FSU he's waiting on. He shows up with an offer from them but I don't think he's ever been a "take" by them and I don't think they've recruited him hard at all up to this point.

But yeah I think it's very possible the longer he waits the more likely some of his current options come off the table. I wont be surprised if he ends up in the Big 10 somewhere when all is said and done.

I think that he probably realizes that it's time to quit dragging feet and commit before someone takes his place.

yeah its FSU he is waiting on. He grew up in fla and has family there.

Really can't blame the guy but his delay could cost him a spot. Hubbs has hinted that his family is pushing him to go ahead and commit ton TN but he isn't ready yet.

Yeah if he gets the FSU offer its over but also i think hes waited a little to long for us. As of now it looks like CBJ and company may have moved on.

Rivals Woody made it very clear that Sapp is having a monstrous year and any team would wait for him on signing day. I haven't seen him play, but that is very strong words coming from Woody.

numbers are tight but im sure his spot will be there a position of need . along with one more cb and a OT or two . richmond , sapp and either phillips ,walker ,or martin . the first two and either of the others would be a great trifecta to end with .
