Sorry should have been clearer.
Recruiting him with the idea of you get a shot at wr, if it works out great, if not we have a position in mind we think youd be better at.
A shot at WR? Seriously? I didn't even know he played on offense. So, NRPP, are you saying the coaches specifically told Jennings that we are recruiting him as an athlete and will give him his first shot at QB, but if he's not progressing well, then might move him to safety? If so and Jennings is fine with that, then it might explain exactly why we are recruiting Jones, especially if Peterman transfers.
The WR comment is in regards to Cole, not Sapp.
Oops, my bad. Forgot we had been discussing him here a little earlier. I also saw your thought about the QB situation just a minute ago in a different thread. Thanks. Do you know if the coaches have talked much to Jennings about moving to safety if QB isn't working out?
Elsewhere, we continue to believe that the Vols are the team to beat with linebacker Quarte Sapp as he is scheduled to be on campus Jan. 16 for his official visit and we continue to wonder when he will make an official announcement of some kind. He's hard to get in touch with, but most don't believe that one will go all the way until signing day unless a new team enters the picture.
Besides UGA and Bama(sometimes now) most other teams we play like to use atleast 3 receivers.
You do realize that the initial reports of the incident now appear to be false. Don't always believe everything you hear from the media or read on message boards. Most of it is usually second hand info or someone filling in the blanks. I don't know what actually happened that night, but I'm pretty sure you don't either. If this young man is reinstated to the team I can almost guarantee it has nothing to do with the recruitment of Sapp, and more to do with him getting a raw deal in the first place.
