He was, but there were a lot of other things going on around the country that could have influenced the decision. Additionally, I am willing to bet that it could have even been out of Butch's hands. With the negative publicity surrounding domestic violence, I have no doubt that it played a role. It is better to quickly cut ties and consider a comeback than to deal with the public reaction if you keep him.

This precisely. Just like he probably was given full disclosure on what went down in the AJ situation, but his hand was forced. We are not FSU and Butch will never let us be looked at in the same negative light as that program.

Can you imagine the defense:
Mackenzie and Tuttle stuffing the box,
Barnett/ Phillips et al rushing outside and Kirkland and sapp anchoring the
Middle.
This would be a defense everyone would be talking about.
These boys would get great exposure and media hype! Especially as the vols com back story ignites.
He would be foolish not to enlist!

Run against this defense.... Ain't nobody got time for that!

Is this subliminal or do we have an idea who is most active in his recruiting? I see multiple letters from UT, mizzou, Miami, clemson, and Louisville so that is top 5 I think
