Thinking if staff takes Sapp it either means they feel Griffin is flipping OR that he will be their safety for the class

I sure hope Griffin ends up at safety, because they have a need there for sure if you look ahead a couple of seasons and they don't seem to be in on any other safeties for this class.

Warrior will play on defense and Hardman is being told he will be a WR. Both are 2016 guys.

I was curious about Hunter Dale. He's been to UT on visits. At one time I think UT was right near the top of his list. It's been pretty quiet with him recruiting wise of late. I think he projects at S.

I've been keeping my eye on this for awhile. We are still in contact and I want to believe we are interesting enough to him to keep us in serious consideration.

Staff sees cole as a safety but from what I've heard he wants to play WR. IMO you take him as an ATH and figure it out later

Thigpen met with Quarte Sapp and we continue to believe the Vols are a major player there. As we've said, we are going to wait and see if anyone else throws their hat in this race like Florida State or Texas A&M, but Tennessee is in a good spot right now with the Georgia linebacker.

I figured he meant as an ATH. But I don't think JJ was recruited as an ATH. Had he been, I don't think he commits to UT. He said QB or not at all.

Telling him what he wants to hear to get him to sign on the dotted line. Giving him a chance at the position he wants but leaving the possibility of switching him to the position the coaches want him at.
