Mike Farrell video interview on rivals...Nunez said looking for chemistry with coaches, players, system. He's taken visits recently to UT, OSU, Clemson, FSU, UF, Miami. Said USCe just offered yesterday and he'll visit there soon. He's also planning to visit UT, OSU, maybe Clemson, NCSU again. Nunez said UT and Miami stood out the most on his visits, the coaching staff and how they interacted with him, interestingly though AL Golden was out of town when he visited so he's never met him in person. He said right now the schools that are standing out the most are UT, OSU, USCe, Clemson and NCSU. He said he will make a decision after spring and a factor will be which coaches come to see him.

Sounds like any of his top schools could land his services if they push hard enough. My guess is, again, if Gentry and Gibson don't give the coaches some really good vibes soon our staff could push for Nunez and land a commitment. JMO

Just for reference OSU wants two QBs this class. They might go with 1 QB and 1 ATH QB (like a Jennings type) too. Just know they want 2

Recruits can't take OV's until their senior year. But he's been to UT more than any other school on UOV's. He gave an interview to Clemson Rivals recently and they think UT likely has the edge now. He's Visiting UT again next weekend.

Thanks Ron. Sounds promising.

RCS ATLANTA: Top Performers - Offense

6. QB LORENZO NUNEZ, KENNESAW (GA.) HARRISON
Nunez was a favorite of the camp's coaches on Saturday as he showed good anticipation and a quick release while delivering catchable balls. Nunez is known for his ability to run as well as throw, but when faced with just being a pure passer, he more than held his own. Nunez still has a bit of an unorthodox delivery, but he gets the ball out quickly and on target. Those skills, combined with his running ability, makes him a top target of spread offenses all over the country.

ROSWELL, Ga. - The first annual Hustle Inc. Golden Arm Challenge concluded on Saturday at Centennial High School near Atlanta, with top quarterbacks from all over the country vying for the top spot. When it was all said and done, Pembroke Pines (Fla.) signal-caller Ryan Stanley took home the top overall honors. But it wasn't just Stanley who had an excellent couple of days in Atlanta. We break down the top overall performances from the two-day event.

GOLDEN ARM CHALLENGE: TOP PERFORMERS

4. QB LORENZO NUNEZ, KENNESAW (GA.) HARRISON
Based on the camp's grading system, Nunez finished just behind Johnson for the 2015 honors behind Stanley. After winning the quarterback MVP at the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour Atlanta stop last week, Nunez continued his excellent play. Known for his ability to run, Nunez continues to progress as a passer. He's good at leading his receivers and putting zip on the ball, but not just firing fastballs on every throw.

The 3 QB's that finished ahead of him were Ryan Stanley, De'Andre Johnson (FSU commit) and Ricky Town (USCw commit).

Nunez is making his decision after his school's spring practice. Going to visit all his finalists including UT one more time before decision.

It looks like his spring game is May 16th and his school year ends on 5/21.

Who are his other finalists?

My guess is his top 5 would be UT, OSU, Clemson, USCe and Miami. Not sure who he'll visit for sure though.

Little to no mention of UGA going after this kid. Anyone know why? Would think UGA would be all over him.

Not certain, but I think they have a top notch talent locked up. Their QB recruiting lately has been on par with their RB recruiting

I am a big fan of Nunez. He is a true DT-QB. He is very athletic, but has good rush awareness, keeps his eyes down field, keeps good velocity on the ball moving left and right, and makes good field awareness decisions.

He lacks a little height, doesn't have the best touch on the deep ball, and seems to have some inconsistency in his release.

We will not go after him hard until Gentry and Gibson make a decision. Remember that Jennings has already committed to us.
