'15 JUCO CB Justin Martin (UT Signee 2/4/15)

Send in the bag men. If this kid ends up with the corn dogs, time to cut ties with that juco. We need a place that will protect kids when we send them there.

Agree. Butch placed him there with a plan so that he could become eligible by the 2015 season, and then you go to a different school. I don't think so.

Can we get Chattanooga state to get a football team and have coach Fulmer hang out down there as the coach? Gotta hang onto these Juco guys.

IIRC, there's a former player/GA/assistant who's coaching at this JUCO. If we can't overcome that, then JUCO's just hate us.

Correct. You are referring to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M coach Ryan Held, a graduate assistant during UT’s 1998 national championship season. Way back in late May, Held stated that “They put him here. Unless there’s a break between the two parties, he’s going to UT.” For this article, see Justin Martin draws Tennessee Vols.

De1, what are your thoughts on the report from Woody Wommack about Martin supposedly decommitting from his silent UT commit and LSU now leading?

UT can sweep all the guys named in this thread depending on how they close. Not saying they get them but they can. Justin is likely a VOL, KP/ Ugo likewise. Dylan can go where ever we don't have space for special projects right now.

Well BOOM! Interested to hear your thoughts on the question about Woody Womack's report on Friday...

How many times are woody's reports made to generate interest instead of be actually accurate? I believe there:s smoke between martin and LSU but I still think he is a ut lean. I do think that amandi Phillips and martin would be more prone to the idea of playing together than Amandi pushing martin to LSU if he's taken.

I just don't believe in silent commits....makes no sense. You can say well you would scare away other recruits if you commit.

The only way it makes sense is for this to happen. Martin wants to commit. Jones says no, not until we can get your grades in order and it looks like you will be able to get in.

Other than that, someone please explain why the heck would anyone silently commit? Especially someone like Martin?

Believe what you want, but it was proven on multiple occasions in the 2014 class. When some of the recruits made their commitment public, it was released in articles that they had been silently committed to the coaches for a while. Some kids just want to wait to make a public announcement on a special day or at a special time...birthday, All-Star games, etc.

Not surprised by some of this, Jalen Collins is declaring which is what I was told the other day. Robinson's situation is cloudy and both White and Robinson will be NFL bound after next year. The defense should be improved on paper come next year, although the finished first in the SEC. Potential for early playing time at CB and DE in 2015 on a good D.

Would not be surprised by 1 of 4 or 4 for 4.

We are battling LSU in a possible four recruit swing. If they want to come, room will not be an issue, there's too much talent here, more so than some of our other commits. Damn, it feels good to be back on top. This is going to be the storyline for the next month. Time to see our coaches really earn those raises.
