This is setting up for a monster 2016 if this line gels, develops, and Kamara sticks around. I hope Dobbs turns out to be the man, because I feel a lot better about a Senior QB leading that 2016 team. But who knows what Dormady or even Kendall turn out to be.
Monster 2015 I hope. Need an OC that's consistent though.
Who is going to block? That's what I am worried about.
I still don't think they will be great at the end of the year, but I do think the line will look vastly improved by the end of the year. A couple games of experience will do wonders for the two freshman and it's gonna be a lot easier against the Vandy and Kentucky D lines after going against Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, and Bama early in the year.
Part of me would like to see the Offense shaken up a little bit, but I'm just nauseous thinking of more coaching turnover. These guys need stability. Not sure if that's what you meant.
Funny thing is I don't remember last years line looking great run blocking early in the season.
I think last years line underperformed a bit relative to all their hype (which was warranted). But they were still above average as a unit.
But when P fort put that stat up on VQ a while back saying we averaged more yards per carry last year than any other year since 1998 really opened my eyes.
They started to perform better the more the season wore on. This line blocks well when we actually run power. That's what Hurds big runs were off of. I would've punished the Sooners with pulling guards after I found out we could win some battles like that.
