'15 JUCO WR Camion Patrick

For any non-science/math degrees, college is way easier. I can say with absolute certainty that Cam Patrick will not be an engineering major. If you want it to be, which Cam Patrick will, college can be much easier than HS.

College kicked me in the d*ck...and I chose a lib arts field.

What college did u go to?

College is not easier.... And we haven't even talked about the distractions that occur from time to time with college life. Lol.

I have a feeling that many of these players have a good number of those distractions right now in high school.

I went to UT. It was 10x easier than my incredibly easy high school that I went to in BFE Arkansas and 100x easier than the HS in Charlotte I went to. You go to class 12 or so hours a week compared to 35 in HS, and you have less homework than HS. How is that not easier?

I understand being away from parents makes it harder to be disciplined, because your parents aren't there yelling at you to do your HW, but the time requirements in college, IMO, are much less than HS.

I feel that I had a vastly different college experience than you did.

EDIT: Somewhat jealous, but at the same time, I'm not positive many things could get easier than Halls was. Haha.

Yea the amount of classes was less but the work in those classes and the time and effor required was much much greater than HS for me. At least if I wanted to make good grades, which was never really an option in my parents eyes (as they were paying for it). And as has already been stated the freedom and distractions that come along with college didn't make it any easier.

Haha, I had some friends who went to Halls, they echoed your sentiment. I think athletes SHOULD find college to be easier than HS, as the school gives them tutors, notetakers, etc... and they have so much less time spent in the classroom. I know they have a HUGE commitment in the football team, but they have so much more time, and there are LOTS of easy majors, there's no reason to not be adequate in college.

It can get easier. Should have traveled over the ridge to Central.

Not to the extent of college though.Plus being away from home. In high school I couldn't wake up and say I'm not going to class. In college, that decision becomes a daily occurrence.

What year did you graduate, if you don't mind me asking?

You must have been in the College of Education.:)

did you play football at halls all 4 years or at all? i played at clinton and graduated in 08. i remember a game at halls, either my freshman or soph year where yalls kicker hit like a 58 yarder on us. most amazing kick ive ever seen. then the next year we were playing yall really close and we killed your rb in the backfield on a 3rd and short to hopefully force a punt and somehow the guy just bounced it outside after getting the hell knocked out of him and went around the right end for like 50 yards and took all the wind out of our sails. needless to say i hated yall lol the kick was at halls and the run was at clinton if that clears any of it up.

Haha, no, Business. HS was rough, 35 hours in class, 7 different classes at once, each giving HW. On top of that, 2 hour practices every day after school. That's like a triple workload compared to college.

College is 12 hours a week, 4-5 classes giving HW. I had no idea what to do with all my extra time my freshman year.

Yeah, I played all four years. Logan hit the kick, and he's one of my best friends to this day. It was just incredible.

I had knee surgery the day before the game where Dusty took that one to the house (at least I remember it being him, but I was pretty doped up).

But, yeah, I remember both. Haha.
