'15 JUCO WR Camion Patrick

This thread is pretty much exactly like Bowles last year, only with a tiny bit more academic drama. An awesome player that nobody's talking about. Can't wait for signing day with this guy.

I hope he pulls it out and makes it, I played him in basketball dude is to much of a freak athlete to not get to play.

If yall watched Dooley's press conf. video he talked about recruiting players who may not make it in because of grades in relation to Dante Phillips. Basically he said if he didn't think players (Cam Patrick) would make it in to school academically then they wouldn't let them sign. His reasoning behind this was the new rules against oversigning prohibits taking risks on certain guys.
If the staff doesn't think he will he sign, he will probably cut loose before NSD.

Tennessee commitment Camion Patrick is no longer part of the Lenoir City football program. Obviously he has work to do in the classroom to have a chance to play football in college.

he said he has an idea all along who may not make it and he says he is never caught off guard by it when it happens.

Dooley has signed players 3 players who havent made it in since he's been here.

if the guy is borderline but well worth the risk, he will stick with the kid, as history has shown us

You must be misinformed. Those 3 guys were before the new signing limits. Last year several guys were cut loose for various reasons, Khalid Henderson, Kenny Crawley, Keithon-Redding etc.

Here's the vid

there were still limits when Loften, Dixon and Dave Clark didnt make it in.

their skill sets were well worth the risk.

Henderson and Redding skills werent worthy enough of any kind of risk.
and Crawley wasnt cut loose. thats a Vol "internet rumor"

He was eligible everywhere else that wanted him late last season

Cordarelle Patterson has a Horrible history academicallly and was still in jeopardy up until this summer....

Dooley still let him sign because of his Superior Talent. it's a risk/reward battle

But you can't tell me while he could be practicing and being with his teammates, that he will be studying and stuff. I just find that hard to believe.

Either he studies more or doesn't play college football. If that doesn't motivate him to spend that time studying, nothing else will.

the way its being told, it seems like more than grades to me.

His grades won't allow him to play. I thought that was pretty obvious

LC is a public school right?

whats passing?

If he cant play football going into fall, it would seem like he shouldnt be allowed to move into his senior year with his academic class.

someone explain the tennessee public school qualifications to me please

Isnt Florida HS 2.0 or is it 2.5?

Pretty sure you have to have a 2.0. Could be wrong. Of he's ineligible because of grades, the situation is worse than I thought.
