'15 JUCO WR Camion Patrick

Same here but not sure he is worth the time with the level we are recruiting that position we don't need to take chances on guys that seem to screw them up more times than not

If we're going to lose Pearson and North after next year, it might be a good idea to take a Juco in 2016.

No need.we will have plenty of veteran talent to mix in a stud true freshman and not need Jucos unless its an elite juco

Smith, Croom and JJ would be SRs.
Malone, Wharton, Jenkins JRs
Williams and whoever our 2nd WR in this class will be Soph

We'll see next year.

Yea, we have a lot of talent at WR right now. I hate it for Patrick. My son knew him in high school at Clinton. Said he was a really nice kid --- just had some bad influences in his life.

If we had room, I don't think he would disappoint. The dude runs STRONG with the ball. He hurts people. He's the third leading receiver on that Juco team and the only freshman in the top 5. He could blow up next year.

I have no idea how his recruitment will turn out but I think Butch will be paying close attention to this kid when he leaves JUCO. Can't ignore these stats...

6'2" 215lbs

Receiving: 35 rec 513 yds 10 TD

Rushing: 6 rush 38 yards 1 TD

Punt return: 16 PR 213 yards 1 TD

He was third in scoring and easily the most productive freshman on a national championship JUCO team. The kid bled orange when he came out of high school. Hopefully he didn't forget his roots.

Maybe another Von Pearson (late bloomer). Guys like that are always great for the team, appreciate the sacrifice it takes to make it.

Camion had a tough road. He didn't get a lot of parental support and learned some hard lessons. As I've said previously, in high school he was a monster with the ball in his hands. He either ran people over or ran by them. The closest comparison I have from recent times is Darick Rogers. Camion has that kind of power in his game. His stats say 6'2" 215 but he plays like 6'2" 235. He initiates contact.

That's not what sent him to JUCO. He's not a late bloomer, he was legit in high school. If he can keep the straight and narrow he will be a good one. He's a big Vol fan too, as already noted.

Late bloomer in terms of getting his head screwed on straight and staking academics seriously. It is very similar to Pearson. That was kept both of them from getting recruited out of high school.

We recruited Patrick. He was a high 3 star when he committed. He just couldn't (or wouldn't) keep his grades up and apply himself. Sad story that may have a happy ending.

Truthfully, I'm not sure which JUCO class he'll be in. He doesn't have a current, JUCO profile on Rivals or 247. The only profiles for him are the old high school links. He may be eligible to play after the coming spring session (ala Jonathan Johnson).

Some of you guys in the know: maybe you could hit up the staff to see if they have Camion on their radar. I'm very curious.

Yep, actually I think he was a 4 star..... Also, didn't think Pearson was highly rated out of high school.

For people that don't know how to navigate hudl. This kid hadn't suited up for two years before this season. I'd be shocked if he's eligible to play that he would have to no major conference offers. I'd venture to guess he'll need one more semester/year to get his academics in line for FBS ball. Can anyone who has a rivals membership or 247 ask the guys? Thanks

Johnson was academically eligible out of high school, just nobody wanted him. That's why he only had to go JUCO for one year
