Cam is from my hometown and will be a Vol if we pursue him. He's a huge Vol fan, always has been. Don't know what it will take to get his grades in order, they were a mess for sure.

Any negativity with Woods being cut loose? IIRC, they're cousins. Loved Cam's highlights coming out of high school. He looked to punish tacklers.

You should check out his Juco highlights a few posts back. He still runs physically but he's also got some great moves and quickness in the open field. He consistently makes the first guy miss. I hope we offer him if he is on track in the classroom. I love WRs that play like he does...tough and physical but still a great athlete as well.

Marcus Wood, East Mississippi's offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach, said Patrick is just beginning to scratch the surface of his abilities. "He can do about anything he wants on the football field," Wood said. "He's such a big, physical kid that he creates mismatch problems on the outside. He's immensely talented and truly gifted."

Wood compares Patrick to Auburn receiver D'haquille "Duke" Williams, who starred for two seasons at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. "We played against the Williams kid when he was at Gulf Coast," Wood said. "Camion has that rare combination, like Williams, where he is big, athletic and able to run by you."

Patrick said those traits definitely work in his favor. "My size has been a key to my success," said Patrick, who has been able to maintain his 4.4 speed in the 40-yard dash despite gaining 25 pounds since high school.

...Patrick said he hasn't talked to any of the Tennessee coaches, but is open to becoming a Vol. "I'd be interested in any school, but that (Tennessee) is back home," Patrick said. "UT is still my favorite."

I like it. I had AJ Morris in my 2016 class at WR along with Mecole Hardman. I've tried finding out how AJ did this past year and can't find anything. He blew up at UTs camp, then 247 rates him a 2* 76 I think. Obviously Patrick looks like a great possibility if UT's staff decides to go the Juco route.

IMO Cam possesses a quality unlike our other guys as in he goes up and attacks the ball at a very high point. He's super aggressive and has the body to out muscle smaller DBs, and I think him on the field with PW would be dirt nasty.. Let alone him, Malone, PW, North/Pearson. Yikes.
