'15 JUCO WR Camion Patrick

Da Rick Rogers type of player on the field. That's who he reminds me of. Big, strong wide receiver. He plays very similar to David Ricky.

If he can keep his head on straight and he plays like David Ricky, then we are getting a hell of a WR.

Da'Rick would easily have been the best WR on our team this year (including those who were injured). Da'Rick was an absolute monster.

Awesome, he was my favorite recruit in 13. Big fan of his game and film. Love for him to end up in Orange, he is supposed to be a Vol.

Yea, I agree he does play like Da'Rick. Also has hints of a healthy Marquez as well... hand strength and stuff like that.

Is he still just rated a 2 star or has it been bumped? Will that greatly hurt our final rank also? I know he is a great athlete but I guess I am a bit of a star gazer lol!

Ya sometimes it's kind of hard to rate juco guys. He was a high three star out of high school maybe even a 4 star. This guy will come in and compete for playing time he is that good of an athlete.

He was a 4 star kid out of high school. Alabama, Tennessee and Ole Miss offers among others. This kid is a beast. Always has been.

Yep, don't pay attention to his current ranking. Talent wise, this kid would be ranked a high 4 star and possible 5 star in the 2015 class. Tremendous talent.

Vol lady I am guilty of being a star gazer sometimes. Don't worry about it on this one.

I wonder if it was unclear if he would make 2015 or 2016, so he didn't get rated by many

Camion is a 2015 guy. When he started JuCo it was thought it would take him two years to get his grades in line, but he went in and did what he needed to do to be a 15 guy.

The "Go Vols" stuff on his page will always be there because he is a huge Vol fan. Saban wanted this kid bad, and if we offered him this late it IS comittable, and I fully expect him to sign with Tennessee.

I talked to his uncle this am, he said "just wait on it." I guess that's a popular phrase being he told me that last time, but I knew he wouldn't have the grades to get in even when we took his commitment. Diff story this time around though and I'm glad Camion got it done.

Go Vols!

Thanks everyone for explaining- with the class ranking- do these late additions even count towards the points? Seems like I read it is only the first 20 or something like that...

So you send a 4star DE with a 4.3 GPA packing to sign a WR with a past of major academic issues among others.
Brilliant. Butch doesn't get it.

People just don't get it.

With Phillips, we had too many DL. There are other needs.

This dude doesn't look 6'3" because he looks built more like a running back. Hits people like a running back too... I'm down.

I think he is really 6'2" and 220 lbs. But heck he runs a legit 4.5 and loves contact so he should be a great one. We need physical WR's that can avoid getting jammed at the LOS.

But yet butch's team has had better performance in the classroom than any UT football team has in a longtime. But yeah, keep posting ridiculous things.

Great pickup if he commits.

And this is the one recruit where the haters needs to listen to OH. He knows kid personally.

With this guy you have to ignore the stars. He fell through the cracks so to speak with the rating system. He was a three star that was bumped to a 4 before he had to go JUCO. He will be so physical that he will help create a toughness in the WR corps, and he most assuredly will play some his first year here barring any injuries. He is a 4 star all the way and it is hard to find someone that can be as physical as him, catch the ball and run a 4.5 as well. We could do a lot worse. Ultimately it is about winning games and this guy helps you win games. Imagine him dragging a couple of DB's 5 to 8 yards after a catch. That is the kind of WR he will be. He can also break one too though.
