You're right I'm sure...I just don't have a great feeling about Love...could be these tacos though.
VQ has stated its between UT and Stanford with UT holding the edge. That is what gives me confidence with Love.
I hate to agree with Leb, but I do think Bussey is being slow played. It just like if we wanted him we would already have him.
Also you have Weber and Kelly gaining interest in UT. Gonna be interesting to see how RB recruiting plays out. Many moving parts.
Yeah, they said distance is a bigger factor than he is letting on. They sound pretty confident he is ours if we want him.
the other factor is that unless you're bringing in 5 star or 6.0 4 stars, there is a good chance of misses. Only one out of every three or four 5.8 4 stars end up being SEC quality backs. We have a SEC quality back in hurd and probably kamara but I think people are wanting to have a third and perhaps fourth SEC quality back. That's why we need to bring in 3 besides kamara, counting RDA.

Don't see that happening. Butch doesn't split carries like Miles, Saban and Richt who can get that many good RB's at a time. Throughout his HC Career it's pretty much one workhouse, the backup spelling him then others getting mop up duty.
I've tried to make that point. Seems no one wants to hear it. People keep saying how this school or that school does it, but from what I have seen, CBJ does not.
I have very little doubt that Hurd & Kamara will handle 90% of the RB carries next year. Scott would probably get a few as well. These folks worried about have mega stars at #4, #5, and #6 don't seem to be paying attention to how CBJ does things. JMO

You're exactly right. I would think it would be hard to stockpile good RB's with the way he uses them. Definitely see Hurd and Kamara being a great compliment to each other but after them there prob won't be many touch's to go around unless there is an injury or blowout. Would like to see Kamara lessen the load on Hurd, especially with them liking to throw to him out of the backfield. And really hope Dobbs or whoever QB's don't have to run it 18-20 times a game either. That's just too many additional hits the QB will take and lessens the chance we get through the yr with just one QB. Exactly why I don't want a run first QB that some are clamoring for. They very rarely make it through a season, especially in the SEC. Gimme one that gets 6-8 rushing attempts per game at the most.
This also make me wonder if we will be content to just take one more back this go around to go with Kamara.
I know you don't like Love but he seems to be the top priority right now and lets not forget his high school team has some high end talent coming in the next few years.
I can't say I agree, but with numbers getting tight some tough decisions are about to be made.
We were an injury away this season from Justus Pickett being our feature back. We need depth.

In butch's defense he hasn't had a plethora of backs to split carries. We have Hurd and that's it. Last year we had Neal and that was it. Lane is what he is and that is not top rb talent.
So saying he doesn't split carries isn't exactly correct.
Could be the depth. :hmm:
I actually prefer having 2 different type guys splitting carries and would think you would just about have to split carries with Hurd and Kamara. If GA didn't have all the RB injuries I would have been curious to see how you split carries after Gurley got his..All 4 of them could start at almost any school..

Butch is smarter than that. He knows two backs will not make it through the SEC grind. I believe he would play four backs if they were talented enough. He also knows its gonna take more than two QB's. He's not dumb.
