'15 LA RB Kendall Bussey (Former UT commit)

Thanks for the responses.

IME, he's not an SEC back. I'm all for taking at least 3 SEC caliber backs this cycle. Kamara, who I am really excited about, and two others.

Transfer from Cinci.

Ralph David Abernathy IV.

Special teamer/RB/Slot guy.

He's a SR and will only be here 1 year.

And he's not a guy you want taking the brunt of the carries if we catch the injury bug again.

Neither is Pickett, neither is Bruce, neither is Perry. (Perry will be a great slot receiver, IMO)

This RB group is very top heavy; it needs more consistency.

I agree that none of those guys besides MAYBE Pickett could even tote the ball as a full time back. I do think all of them could be a tweener type guy who could get 6-10 carries here and there and help the run game. I suppose I would just not go about recruiting RBs with the idea in my head "what if my top 3-4 get hurt"? As I said many times today, top heavy RB groups as you call it is very normal. Everyone said earlier we need to recruit RBs like UGA. I pointed out their #3 RB last year was a 2*. Serviceable RBs once you get past the top 2-3 guys on a roster IMO is very common.

Because of injuries. UGA doesn't want Douglas carrying the rock.

But I was told earlier that UGA just stacks up those 5* RBs. They are all over that roster. 1-2 go down, don't they have like 5 more? UT fans makes it sound like UGA signs 3-4 4-5* RBs every class. :)

That's basically what you do in every recruiting thread.

No No No. Now from time to time I may douse a thread in gasoline and toss a match to watch it heat up, but that's just for fun. Freak does not mind. It keeps this place interesting. :)

You realize he was their 5th option at RB. Keith Marshall was out.

They have a five star and three 6.0 four stars in their stable. That's four top 50 caliber RBs.

The thing with RDA is Butch knows exactly what he is getting. This kid knows the offense and the coaches and they know him. Now with Bussey, I see a kid that is in the same mold as the two starting backs at Missouri who runs a very similar offense to ours. Who would not have wanted one of those guys paired with Hurd this year? I see Love as that same type of back, but with elite speed. Bussey is stronger, and has better balance with plenty of speed as well. The X factor with Love is his speed though. He has game changing speed. I'd be extremely happy with landing either one. I just don't think this kid will wait around if he sees himself as a back up plan for us, and I can't blame him.

He realizes it, but chooses to ignore it so he can continue with his nonsensical BS.

4 highly sought after RBs IMO is reasonable. As long as they are spread over several classes. The discussion today and my issue with it is UT fans see to think it's wise to take 3-4 in one class. IMO, it's just wasted space. Ya think UT plans to go after any highly sought after RBs in 2016? How about 2017? My point is your starter is on campus and has at least 2 years left and maybe 3. Your possible #3 RB is on campus and may have 3-4 years to play. You already have the likely #2 for next year in Kamara and he will have 2-3 years on campus. 2 RBs plus RDAIV IMO is fine. Take 2 quality backs in 2016 and you are set up better going forward.

You guys get wayyyy too worked up over this. :scare:

Not worked up...he just goes out of his way at times. I don't really mind his posts...actually enjoy them most of the time. He just runs things into the ground on occasion. Jmo...
