'15 LA RB Kendall Bussey (Former UT commit)

"Jason Howell, our Midlands recruiting analyst, traded some texts with Bussey's father and he said he had a great visit to Texas A&M but as of now he's still committed to Tennessee and he still plans on visiting Tennessee this weekend."

Suck it Aggie rumor board.

Nothing that I have seen sounds legit and mostly homeristic to grab scrips. "Had a wonderful time" and "has to deliberate" do not signal a flip to me in the slightest.

His dad didn't even accompany him on his visit to aTm. Seriously not even worried about it. Like PW, Bussey has been a Vol fan for quite some time.

If Kamara has a good year next year he is gone. So that leaves Hurd with one more year after that, if he has a big year he will be gone after his junior season more than likely. So they are not behind multiple 5* backs that are going to be around for 2-3 years.

He knows all that... He's doing it on purpose and changes his stance constantly. He actually said we don't need to recruit anymore backs for 2 years at one point. Nobody is that stupid. He uses examples like Scott which actually disprove his points not help them.

This is a bit of a stretch.. RB's don't hold that much stock anymore in the draft let alone having two backs dart for the league consecutively.. Bussey and others are warranted to be worried because realistically it could be 2-3 years until they see the amount of carries they desire

If Bussey makes that visit this one is over with. I think it's over with anyways, the high of that visit will wear off and he will want to be at Tennessee. This has been his favorite school for a long time and that will win out in the end.

Just because the league doesn't value RBs as much as it used to doesn't mean there aren't still numerous RBs leaving early for the draft every year. Drafted in the second/third round after senior year or drafted in the second/third round after Jr year....

Per Callahan

None of the Vols' current commitments seems to be wavering on his pledge as a result of Bajakian’s departure, but a few UT commitments visited other schools over the weekend. Three-star all-purpose back Kendall Bussey of New Orleans appears to be the biggest concern for Tennessee coming off his weekend visit to Texas A&M, although sources close to Bussey’s recruitment indicated Sunday that he and his father still are scheduled to travel to Knoxville this weekend for his official visit with the Vols. It’s perhaps worth noting that Bussey’s father did not accompany him on the trip to College Station, Texas. Regardless, the Aggies appeared to be optimistic about their chances of stealing Bussey coming out of the weekend, and it seems UT might have to fight to hang onto him over the next several days.

You would be selling recruits on "maybe they are gone" . I'd think the reason you don't see many 3RB classes is most recruits and or their parents know better than to take that sort of risk. Kids are looking for PT. MAYBE IN 12-24 month's just isn't going to have kids lining up to over sign very often. UT did it last year. Obviously we see how it worked out. Wanna try again? Ok. We'll see how it plays out.

LV if we get him, we get him, if we do not so be it. I think he stays a VOL because Sumlin is a much more pass happy coach. Plus running backs realize that the NFL wants then with some miles still left in their wheels. RB's like Marcus Lattimore from SCJR make NFL teams think twice about spending big money on RB's with lots of miles or injures to their knees. That is why, barring injury Kamara is most likely gone after next season. With only Hurd on scholly 3 RB's his class is not a lot considering that 1 of the 3 stays only a year.
