'15 MD OT Pat Allen

... or else he is a silent to us.

Not impossible, but you usually see the UT coaches making those in home visits with committed kids just before NSD. All the recent Twitter pics of Butch and company in the recruits homes is what I'm pointing to. Allen expected them to be there, and UT cancelled as Richmond had called and took the spot IMO.

You think it could possibly be that he, his family and the staff have talked and he's agreed to be a silent in hopes of landing 2 OT's this class by flipping Richmond?

I just can't see it. While it would make for a huge surprise as Allen said the UT coaches actually no showed for his in home visit, I'd think even if they wanted to keep it quiet, they would have made that trip.

Was just a thought considering how bad we need OT's. And we all know how sneaky ole Butch is. Thanx for input

It will all work itself out I guess as far as te numbers go, this staff seems to have it under control. And as far as OT's Leb, I thought that Boulware and a couple others was listed or considered to be guards. That's great, now if a couple we have in roster can just pan out and show improvement.

Edit

I went back and reread your post Leb I get what your sayin now. It didn't click the 1st time.

Do the coaches know something regarding Richmond and Allen causing them to cancel the visit and go full throttle on Richmond?

Boulware could end up at guard. In an interview he said UT liked him at both OG and OT. Just have to see if it was coach speak or not.

Staffs has had an idea he would eventually sign with UGA when he decided to wait to announce. Now our top target is back in the mix so Allen is an after thought

Not true at all they pretty much thought they had him but with Richmond changing his tone Allen became 2nd priority and now its a #s gm to see what happens in the end.

D1C thanks for the heads up on what has been going on with Allen. Of course as everyone has asked if you could give us insight on Richmond it would be appreciated.

Sounds about right. When he didn't pull the trigger at the all star game, staff probably knew.

Correct, Allen would have been the last lineman taken had he committed. When he backed off and talked about wanting to give Georgia the chance to convince him to remain a Bulldog our guys knew how it would end. We were going to strike out with Allen and the Richmond thing heated up. Our staff did the only logical thing they could do.

Agree. It sounds like Allen really in his heart wants to go to UGA. O'kay, we have to go after kids that really want to go to Tennessee!

While I understand Allen possibly sticking with UGA, I sure wanted him to be a Vol. Getting both DR and PA in addition to the four already committed gives us a solid future. We really need 2-deep at each OL position. If he signs with UGA, he will have the pleasure of watching the Vols celebrate their wins over UGA.
