Eight questions with Shy Tuttle:
Is there any one player you are looking forward to competing against at the Under Armour All-America Game and practices?
Tuttle: I don't really know any of the offensive linemen [by name]. I'm just looking forward to competing, and playing with Jalen [Dalton]. It will be pretty cool.
If you were to start a team with any other player in your class, who would it be and why?
Tuttle: I mean, I guess you could say Kahlil McKenzie. We kind of have the same game, we play the same position and are going to the same school, so that would help us both.
Who is the best player to ever play in the Under Armour game that you know of?
Tuttle: Probably Jadeveon Clowney. He's just a freak. I mean, in college he was great. It's rare you see size, speed and strength like that.
What is your earliest football memory?
Tuttle: In elementary school we had a weight limit, and I would always be a few pounds over. There was a weight limit at positions, and I would always be over the weight limit to play running back, so I had to play on the line. That was in fifth grade.
Which football player did you idolize or want to be like when you were a kid?
Tuttle: Julius Peppers. He's from North Carolina, one of the best that has played [defensive end], I grew up watching him play for the [Carolina] Panthers.
If you could take on any pro player in their sport, who would it be?
Tuttle: Michael Jordan probably. He's the greatest. I think it would be cool to meet him, and try to play against him.
What number do you wear and why?
Tuttle: I wear 7. There isn't any significance. I just wanted a single digit [laughing]. I asked Butch Jones about wearing a single digit [laughing]. He said if we have one.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
Tuttle: I want to be a chef. I like cooking and thought about it as a career, but business management would probably be better. I like to travel.
