I honestly wouldn't mind having this guy in the slot. IMO i think he would be used almost like a devrin young. No way he would become a feature back in our backfield with the talent we have at 5'9, but would be a real weapon to have in the slot.

Leb, everyone who has made a statement about what CBJ was going to do this cycle has been wrong at some point. I understand that you are just going to do you, but if you would ease back a click on the dogmatism, you'd have less negative feedback. We all see where your logic is coming from, but that doesn't mean CBJ agrees with you.

Just about everything I say has an IMO or a JMO attached to it. I like the 2 backs we have and see no reason to rock the boat trying to be greedy and or force a talented kid out. It's JMO. Obviously we will all not agree and many things. That is what makes this board enjoyable IMO. I will just never buy into the mindset that higher ranked, is always better and the no brainer way to go. As I said, IMO Rocky Reid fills a void we have had for a while in the UT backfield. I say leave the RB class alone. JMO

Sure. There is always a point at which the cards say "stay". Taking that extra one may be a winner. Taking that extra one could be a bust. At times staying is the play. IMO, that is where we are RB wise for 2015.

Butch Mainly uses the first string back. 6 in two years created a logjam at bama. That's how we got Kamara. We do not need another back at all.

Some of you guys are getting desperate by how you're acting. If you get three backs, you have to chop off another position.

The bigger picture is tough for a lot of folks. Sign a 3rd RB, then they scream we need more OL/DL. Much like the 3rd QB, IMO the 3rd RB is just not a need at all.

I also would not trade Love for Reid even up today. I like what Reid brings to the table. IMO he is a keeper.

I just think he has a chance to be a really good RB in a spread offense that will emphasize running the ball. Nothing beyond that, really. I think he's a RB, not a slot guy.

And, for the record, it isn't like if we miss on Love and keep Reid we've done terribly.

Agreed. We should make a thread with the underclassman depth chart. It would show our real needs.

I guess I'm just not one who worries about "fitting in" with the group and it's fall into line mentality. I don't just form different opinions to have something to discuss, I really do see things differently at times. I just choose to actually say it vs biting my tongue to avoid the "negativity" some folks see it as. I don't mind people not agreeing with me. As long as it makes sense in my mind, I'm good to go. :)
